The buck frowned, "Yes thank you for the reminder."

The buck's son shrugged, "Well what can I do exactly?"

The buck shook his head, "Nothing." He then said, "Why do you keep helping me anyway?"

The buck's son shrugged, "Because those guys are mean."

The buck said, "How do you know I don't deserve it?"

The buck's son became confused, "Why wouldn't you? Just because of your voice or, uh, how Gurri said; 'A typical jerk' doesn't mean they're allowed to pick on you."

The buck frowned, "She said that?" He then had his eyes opened wide but stopped and coughed, "It's a long story."

The buck's son said, "She bragged about that after you kept following her and tried to get her jealous by 'being' with another doe."

The buck said, "I didn't follow her on purpose. It was coincidence. However I did do the second thing though."
