Kopa was near the end of his patrol that day. He couldn't wait to get home.

Vitani was home, waiting for Kopa to return as usually. While other lionesses found short and quick hunts a blessing she preferred it when it took them longer. That way she had to spend less time waiting for her mate to come home.

Finally, it was time for his patrol to end. Kopa eagerly headed towards Pride Rock. He couldn't wait to see Vitani.

Vitani ran down to the buttom of Pride Rock the moment she recognised Kopa's figure in the distance. She kept running untill she got to him, "You're back!" she smiled and nuzzled him.

"I missed you today. Nothing particularly exciting happened," Kopa told her.

Vitani's smile remained, "Yeah, same as always." she nuzzled him once more, "So, are you done for today?"

"Yes, 'Tani, I am. I have the rest of the day to spend with you," Kopa replied.

Vitani smiled, "And where will we be spending it?"

"I don't know, wherever you want," Kopa answered.

Vitani shrugged, "I don't mind actually." she was silent for a few moments, "The empty den we found a few weeks ago?"
