She's a lot like SImba more than he realizes. Growing up: What are you thinking?
Grown up: Now that's a person I'll follow any day of the week!

Meaning? Yes, he would be proud of Kiara.

I think that he would be proud of her, not only for uniting the prides, but also bringing peace to Simba over his death by showing him Kovu isn't like his father

Besides, Mufasa loved Simba unconditionally, he proved that when he dived headfirst into a raging stampede to save him, and I think that love would extend to any ofSimba's offspring, so no matter what Kiara did, he would always welcome her to The Great Kings/Queens of the Past with open arms when her time came.

He'd be very proud. She (nearly) single-pawedly united the warring prides in peace. I say "nearly" because Kovu helped, but Kiara had to kick him in that direction when he just wanted to run off and start a whole new pride. Kiara grows up tremendously between the beginning of the movie (and I mean from her first hunt) and the end credits.
"Simba, let me tell you something my father told me. Look at the stars. The great kings of the past look down on us from those stars. So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you. And so will I." ~ Mufasa

I love Kiara now :3 I still don't think she has a lot of depth, but she's not as bad as I once thought.
