Scar chosen cub

I really don't think Scar had enough time to pick a cub to suceed him while being eaten by hyenas... or tell anyone, for that matter. So how did he pick Kovu?? Im confused...what do you think and whats your theorie??

Perhaps he named his future successor before that night. On the other hand, it could just be the madness of Zira that makes her think Scar chose Kovu.

Here's my theory:

Zira had Kovu in her belly. His birth was only one month away. Scar thought that Nuka was getting to old to be a succesor. He said to Zira - "This cub shall be my succesor" or something like that. Scar dies. Here comes Kovu.
