The relflections are interesting to look at in detail during both of the movies. I realize that Kiara's reflections are diffrerent b/c we only see half of her self. The first half is herself but her other half is missing, which represents Kovu. Her mate is missing after getting exlied so she left to find him and when they were together, we see that the other half was placed. When Kovu reminded her "We Are One", their reflections together mean that the Pridelanders and the Outsiders have to be put together in order to stop the fued. That's how I see why Kiara's reflection is different than the relections that Simba (seeing Mufasa) and Kovu (seeing Scar) saw themselves. It would be a little odd to see Simba as Kiara's reflection but that would have been cool to see.
