yet he still has such small paws, he really bulked up and he can't even fill in his feet.

I don't know if you meant it to be like that, but it's quite symbolic lol... no matter how hard Simba tried, he could never "fit" into Mufasa's paws: "You will never be Mufasa!" Simba's large, strong, and a good leader, but he will never be as great as Mufasa was. Interesting.
