I watched the official trailer for Simba's Pride for the first time ever. And I stopped wondering why haven't the film's makers addressed the redesign. Because apparently, they have.

[They show FLUFFY and don't show their new design at all!]

In An All New Movie

[Simba and a cub's shapes running through the lands. Simba telling the cub that they are one and we get a glimpse of her sitting on the rock, her nose up in the air. Kovu introducing himself to the cub and Kiara introducing herself to Kovu.]

Lol. Nice try, film makers... Showing Fluffy, then a shape of a cub, then a glimpse of a cub and then finally introducing it as Kiara--while never showing the redesigned version at all. It is a screaming hint that 'Hey, that cub is supposed to be Kiara, so don't be confused even though in the film you see it differently designed".

It's so sad people are so in love with spin-off stuff that they don't even try to see what the film makers have to say.

Anyway, I don't beleive Kopa was murdered so those pictures of Kopa covered in blood disturb me a little. I didn't see any flaws in SP. I do beleive the movie hints at Kopa though. And because I already started a topic about the hints and because SBS will yell at me again, I won't bother...

And whats the link to that trailer? I'd like to see it...

That's heaps cheap of them to use the footage from TLK instead of Kiara's acutal presentation (even though they are the same thing)

And I don't think it's cheap. They could've just as easily if not even more easily, used their own version of the ceremony. I do believe they used Fluffy exactly to make a point about them being the same cub--they needed to literally connect Fluffy into an official SP material. In the actual film it would've looked weird, so solution: let's make the point in the trailer.

That's not what I said

Coulz made that picture to point out how the Kopa illustrated in the books was not a Simba-clone by drawing them each and pointing out their differences. I don't believe that the book's illustrator(s) meant to give Kopa a distinct design, I think they wanted him to look just like cub Simba, but with a tuft of brown fur on his head. The lack of skill is the illustrator's, not Coulz'.
