Actually, when you think about it logically, they did say they didn't think TLK would be as popular as it is, they didn't even think anyone would like it. So they didn't think anyone would look into it this much, as to the timeline and how realistic everything is. Simba's Pride was definatly not as realistic as TLK was, and even then TLK wasn't very realistic in it's own little ways. I don't think the film makers would expect us to argue over suck meager things

The point is the film makers themselves - both TLK's and SP's - bothered to go to Africa in order to study the animals. TLK's makers even brough them all the way into the studio. As in, why would they
do all that expensive and time-taking stuff if they weren't going to put all that they studied, into the films? And why would they widely and loudly tell us that they went to Africa, studied the animals and brought them into the studio, if they didn't expect us to treat the film's content according to realistic life?
What? O3O. I'm confused lol, your saying that Kopa is older than Kovu so they shouldn't have the same size of hair tufts? Is that what your saying? Sorry, I'm confused xDD;
No, of course Kovu is older because he was born before Simba and Nala even met, much less mated and carried the child. I was saying that the time between Kovu and Fluffy's births is unavoidably a year or more because of how much time a savannah needs to recover from total, utter destruction which was even increased by the fire at the end of TLK. And that year is just too much age difference for them to have exactly the same amount of mane, even with individual growth rates.
And that even if we pretended it wouldn't take that long for nature to recover from such destruction, but that four months would be enough and that it wouldn't be too much for the age looks with individual rates... (it would have to be four months in minimum between Kovu and Fluffy's births as Nala needs to carry the child, give birth and it to be presented to the kingdom). it wouldn't make sense for Kopa to be the cub. Because Kiara is there and at least 7 months old judging by the tail tuft. Kopa and Kiara would need to be litter mates to exist in the same story while Kovu is in it. But they can't be litter mates because the books don't have a sister to Kopa and the film doesn't have a brother to Kiara.
