Yea. I beleive Kopa is the cub at the end of TLK and I'm going to stick to it!
Certainly you're free to have and keep your opinions on who the cub at the end is, but seriously people - I don't think there's any sense in desperately denying the fatcs by saying you believe it to be Kopa. I mean, accepting the fact doesn't mean that you must completely forsake your own personal preference. o.O

“Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of the facts and evidence.”
-John Adams

"If a man will kick a fact out of the window, when he comes back he finds it again in the chimney corner." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away." -Philip K. Dick

EDIT:// I only comment on this because 'to believe' is in other words 'to genuinely think [a thing] is in fact true'. And I don't understand how can anyone genuinely think so while knowing the facts say it isn't true.

But as I recently said in the Kopa topic, I'll stop with these comments on you guys believing as long as a person doesn't claim that their belief is accurate. (: Because I don't really need to understand what the concept of believing in other's minds is, nor is it away from anyone as long as the facts aren't being twisted for anyone but the person him/herself.

Look, I think it's easy to understand.

You have the original movie, made by a talented crew, with a good budget, produced by Walt Disney Pictures, the real, the most official thing.
At the end we see "Fluffy", an unissex cub with no real name. Why? Because it's not important to the story AT ALL.
Who is Nala's father? We don't know. Why? Because it's not important to the story.
What happens? Money. The movie made a TON of it. Success.

What they do next? The obvious. Try to make more money out of it (aka milk the cash cow till it's dry - i.e. the High School Musical franchise)
So we have books, all from different authors, not from Disney.
They write the books. They're about The Lion King, they'll sell. Does Disney care about these books? No. It has some incoherencies but it's just to make some money, nothing serious.

Next? Continue to milk the cash cow even more. A sequel. Small budget, tv crew, sequel to a successful movie = perfect. Easy money.
New crew, new director, new vision of the first movie, new ideas. Is this new director forced to include the new book character? No.
This is the only sequel the movie has. This is The Lion King II, not The Lion King III.
Is the original crew involved in any single way? No.
Does Disney really care about this sequel? No. It has some incoherencies but it's just to make some money, nothing serious.

Next? Continue to milk the cash cow even more. A tv show. Small budget, tv crew, tv show of a succesful movie = perfect. Easy money. Does Disney really care about this tv show? No. It has some incoherencies but it's just to make some money, nothing serious.

Next? Continue to milk the cash cow even more. A new sequel. Made by the original crew? No. Made by the second crew (TLKII)? No. A whole new bunch of people? Yes. With a different visions and ideas? Yes. Does Disney really care about this sequel? No. It has some incoherencies but it's just to make some money, nothing serious.

Let's see we have: the original crew, 5 or 6 different authors to write the books, SP crew, T&P crew and TLK 1 1/2 crew.
Look how many people were involved.
Also, SNA are not the only books about TLK. I've seen books other than SNA with new characters, names and events where I live. And guess what? They're as "official" as SNA but people don't care about them because the fandom made SNA more popular.

Look at The Little Mermaid. 2 sequels, 1 tv show, TONS of books. Do they all make sense together? No. Were they all made by the same people and the same studio? No.

TLK is not the only thing Disney has to care about. Neither is The Little Mermaid.
You're caring too much about things Disney didn't care about at all to begin with.

Well. If what SPS says is "true" than he must think that Kopa never excisted. :(

I beleive he was the cub at the end of TLK.

Now, (no offense but:) could I please here from someone other than SPS? Please :D

Well, personally I believe that the cub at the end of the first movie wasn't Kopa. I actually believe that Kopa is Simba's son, but don't really assosiate it with the movi, if you know what I mean. Like the books and movies are two totally different dimentions, in one dimention, Simba had a son, in the other, a daughter, and both have totally different storylines P: If that makes sense.

I don't think that makes a lot of sense. Why would Disney make Simba have 3 cubs? Or why would Disney make a cub go from boy to girl?

For all those people who say, "We don't know if the cub at the end of TLK was a boy or girl", let me say this. Okay, baby Simba and baby Kopa look A LOT alike. Why would people say the TLK cub was a girl then? I choose to beleive that Kopa was the TLK cub.

Well, what I believe is that the cub at the end of TLK must be Kiara, because that's who, in the end, 'Fluffy' was decided to be. So lets say that there are two worlds, both the same, the Pridelands are exactly the same except for one thing that's different between the two: In one world,
Simba has Kopa, the Crown Prince and heir to the throne.
And in the other, Simba has Kiara, the crown Princess and Heir to the throne.
Remember this is strictly my opinion, two worlds that can excist together and be whatever the fans wish, but in my opinion, they can never mix, and Kopa won't excist in the world where Kiara is Princess, and in Kopa's world, Kiara will never excist.

Rofl, i have too much free time :'D

Well, the people who made Simba's Pride and TLK were different people, so they would have different views on what the cub was going to be like. If the people who made TLK made SP, there might have been a different result, you never know, but the people who created SP decided that Kiara would be the cub, so there's nothing we could change there :(
