Oh, that could be true, a late dark transformation of Scar driving them apart, really interesting.

They were meant to be Cousins but Disney found it too weird to been put in a Disney Movie.

I pretty much agree with everyone else here. I know that fact that Kovu is not Scar's son. He was tooken in to be Scar's heir. But I do wonder who Kovu's real father could've been.

Throught the film, it seemed evident that originally Scar was Kovu's father, but it had been edited to give it a "maybe, maybe not" approach. I don't know, do lions fall in love, with members of their pride? It would seem weird from a human's perspective sure, but you never know...

Also the fact that it never mentions Scar as Kou's father means that it's kind of up to your imagination, if you want to believe that there is insest families in TLK, more power to you... I however, will continue to believe that Scar simply saw potential in Kovu (who's father died, or ran away) and simply chose him to be the next evil "king".

Animals do inbreed. Not ALL the time, but it does happen. It's just because the lions in TLK are so anthroed that Disney found it wrong to make them somewhat related.

Yes,it is very obvious that it was only a last minute thing to include some facts that made sure that it's clear that Scar is not Kovu's real son. Hence why he sees Scar in the puddle during the 'Not one of us' scene. But as it was said in the movie,by Nuka: ''Scar wasn't even his real father.'' So it's pretty clear that Scar can't be his father. But yeah, not that I'm dissuading you, because you said yourself that Scar couldn't be the father.

Kovu is not Scar's son and that is made very clear in the movie. As for Simba and Nala... who knows?
