Well, if you look at when she falls, she does want to live. I know in the deleted scene she kills herself, but not in the real thing. Kiara did get through to her. For crying out loud, it's the love of her life's mother! Kiara just wanted to try. The only reason she got invloved was because she was defending Simba, but while she was there, she realised that Zira might change and gave it a shot. I call that bravery. And with the "I'll NEVER let it go" business - people say irrational things sometimes. Look at Simba - "I can't go back, I'm not who I used to be" - but he did. I bet if she didn't try to save Zira, people would call her heartless or lazy. Simply because it's Kiara.

I believe Zira did want to live because she attempted to get at Kiara's paw. What you are talking about, as Pixie said, is from a deleted scene and was not actually true.

I have no objection to your disliking her, however; It's your opinion and I'm not against that.

Just because she wanted to live doesn't mean she wanted to side with the Pridelanders. I won't analyse this any more because this isn't the Zira thread x) I don't hate Kiara, I just find her way too carefree for my tastes. None of the SP characters were all that well-thought out anyway.. The old characters' personality changed (kinda dramatically too) and the new characters were either lunatics, goodie-goodies or completely unnecessary IMO, so I blame Disney for that.
