Well, animals try not to inbreed. It keeps genetic diversity within a species. If Disney kept Scar as Kovu's father it would've been awful...at some point Kovu or Kiara would have to be like..wait...we're cousins. I think the best choice is to go with a rogue lion similar in appearance to Scar.

I've often thought about that too, I just didn't know anyone else thought that. I mean think about it, Vitani looks nothing like Zira. Just randomly make a Scar/Nala child, I can bet you he/she would come out looking similar to Vitani. And what about Vitani's line, "Where's your pretty daughter, Nala?" When I really think about that in the Scar+Nala=Vitani sense, it makes me think perhaps Zira took Vitani in as her own when Nala didn't want her, being she was Scar's daughter. Zira told her later that Nala didn't want her, she wanted a prettier daughter, and that was Kiara. Anyway, I'm getting off topic here... sorry. Just my theory on that lol *is crazy*

Yeah, i think they said something about Nala's dad that sounds really weird so no one believed them but i really want to know who Kovu's dad is. Maybe they do that just to torment the crap out of us

you know what's cool... Kovu has always been my favorite in SP. He's actually the very first LK char I ever drew. good ol' Kovu got me started in the LK fandom

I think Kovu is a very awesome character, and he's also deep too. Like how he's been trained to kill Simba all his life, but then he falls in love with Simba's daughter! He is an excellent lion in the pridelands.
