Blood in Mufasa's Death?

The blood doesn't really bother me, and never has. I've always had a strong stomach anyway, and that is part of nature. Disney probably included it for the realism of it, as lions and hyenas regularly suffer mild aliments like scratches in real life. I never really missed Shenzi's scratch marks, but I didn't notice Mufasa's until recently.

Well, they are needed for realism, and a lack of trauma would make Mufasa's death less believable.

Seriously? Why're we making such a big deal about a few little scratches? It's not like kids will LYK TTLY BEE MENTALLY SCARRED at the sight of a little "blood"... Most likely no one even noticed it at all. It wouldn't scare them much anyway, since kids tend to get fresh cuts and bruises practically every week lol.

Hehe, I have to agree with you on that one, Amanda. It's probably not making a big deal out of it, but more discussing the fact that Disney finally began to get more mature. But, yes, no one will be "scarred for life" over the two bloody incidents in LK.
