"Leave him there" cane the supprising command from Kovu. Li reluctantly obbliged, shedding the human, leaving him the the vultures, he was going to argue, but though better of it.
The rest of the journey passed in relative silence, kovu occassionay hinting at speach, and tending to be silent dreading the inevitable. Arriving at priderock, the mood was somber, the news obviously broken, and Kiara briefing the group, as three of them left. He didn't notice who they were, his eyes were laden with tears. He walked silently to the middle of the group, eyes like glass, he lay the lioness down. He nodded to kiara and walked to the lioness who had retreated. A nuzzle was instant, and words could follow, for now he had a duty.
Li followed suit , standing at the dead lionesses side, sniffing the air, picking up the sent, he gasped, "No..." he silently said before breaking down completely.

Jengo looked back at Priderock, stopping his tracks and Bina had noticed. "What's your deal?"

He was silent before he answered her, looking the princess straight in her eyes. "I need to know if Li is alright. He was with your dad when I last saw him, but I need to make sure" he told the princess firmly, walking towards the large cliff that overlooked the lands that Kiara and Kovu ruled. He knew Lisimba was alright if he was in Kovu's watch but the male could never be too sure with his best friend.

Before he got to the large rock, he crossed over a small one and let out a familiar roar to be heard asking his best friend if he was alright or needed Jengo to come and see him. He would of course go, but he would take Isoke with him as well, never being quite sure if she was alright to be alone for the time.

The roar came as a supprise to Li, he knew what it meant, and who it belonged to. He couldn't speak, the lionesses around him had tried to comfort him, but he shrugged them off, he could only do one thing. He looked to the heavens and roared a reply, one filled of sorrow, anger and denial, it was all he could do.

Isoke not only heard the roar,but recognised it as a roar of despair,pain and sorrow. She turned to Jengo and gasped,suddenly reminded of the dead lioness. Another innocent life taken by odd two-legged creatures,brutally and without mercy. Memories of her mother's last moments washed over her like a wave of icy water,and she shook her head,succesfully blocking them out. "He's back.." she whispered,more to herself than anyone else,gazing up at Pride Rock.

The rest of the pride watched in silence as Kamaria approached her daughter's body,staring at it in disbelief. She had not shed a tear since she first found out about her death,too shocked to understand,too shocked to want to admit to herself that Kacia,her only daughter,her pride,had gone to where she could never speak to her again,never nuzzle her every night before going to sleep and make sure she knew how much she loved her. But now that she looked into her eyes and saw the glassy stare,the gaze that used to be so vivid and full of life all empty,now that she saw her body cold and covered in blood stains,she couldn't escape the truth any longer. Her yellow eyes filled up with tears,and she began to cry.

"Ka... Kammy?" Li asked, looking at the lioness and her mother, "Kammy, I'm sorry, i should have saved her... I was there... I could have, nigh, should have done better" Li moved closer, "You know i loved her, like a sister..." Li started before trailing off, also starting to cry

Kamaria looked up at Li and shook her head. "N-no" she stammered,her entire body shaking with sobs,"No,Li. I-it wasn't your f-fault,it wasn't...please,don't s-say that..don't blame yourself. She.." she took a deep breath in an attempt to regain control,but it was no use. "She loved you,too,Li. She wouldn't - she wouldn't want you to b-be upset.."

"Kammy, it's all..." Li trailed of choking between sobs, "It's all I have to feel. Why couldn't I have been faster?!" Li demanded of himself, "Sis, what... What they did... Did to you...." he stopped, letting out a massive ear splitting roar of pure anger, "Why couldn't I have saved you" he growled, looking at the lifeless figure on the floor, "Why?" he asked weakly

Kamaria moved closer to Li,gently placing her paw on his. "Li..please." she whispered,looking into his eyes,still struggling to keep her voice steady, "Tears won't bring her back..we need to stay strong,Li. F-for her sake. She wouldn't have wanted us to mourn,she would have w-wanted us to fight back. And we must. Because if we don't..many other lives will be in d-danger."

Li growled again, this time at Kamaria. "Don't you see.... Your daughter, My best friend is dead!" he spat, "What else can i do?" he screamed quickly pulling his paw away, "She needs to be remembered, She was one of the greatest lionesses I knew, And they took her from us... From me" he said, growling again walking over to her, nuzzling her affectionately, a mix of growls and purrs emanating from his throat.

"I know..I know.." Kamaria whispered soothingly, "She..she was the best thing that ever happened to me,and.." her voice cracked and she burst into tears once again, "And it hurts. It hurts so much to l-lose her like t-this..if I could have had just one more day with h-her..if I could just tell her how much she means to me..b-but the best way of remembering her,Li,is to fight. To...avenge her..we have to."
