well, I believe that Scar was indeed loved, but merely didn't realize. Ahadi I believe certainly did, and most likely Uru as well. and I believe that at some point Scar did truly believe he was loved, most likely when he was a cub. no doubt that Ahadi wouldn't give Taka as much attention as Mufasa, but simply because he was busy training the first-born of his sons to be king. he probably thought Taka understood, but after many broken promises that he couldn't help (incidents in running the kingdom like in the book where he breaks his promise to go hunting with Taka to try and resolve the problem over the water), Taka starting feeling left out and unloved. as they grew older, the situation only worsened as Ahadi had to spend even more time either with Mufasa or ruling the kingdom through tough times. as to his name, I have another theory a little bit different. I think they gave it to him because it meant "want," because they did in fact want him and wanted him to feel wanted. though, the truth of the matter is that Disney picks the names for a specific reason, like how Ahadi ironically means "promise." no doubt Disney used it for the meaning "want" because Scar wanted love, respect, admiration, and power. or as you said, "dirt" because his pelt is dirt-colored.
as to whether Mufasa loved his brother...I think he did when he was a cub, but as Taka became more difficult -and jealous of the love and respect that Mufasa got- that he eventually only came to care for his well-being as a member of the pride he'd one day rule. I also have a theory on the gap between the two of them. I believe that as cubs, Taka was probably closer to Sarabi than Mufasa. from what I've seen of her, my suspicion is that she was the adventurous one of the bunch (no doubt why she wasn't buying Simba's lie of the "really cool place" being the waterhole and sent Zazu with the cubs). perhaps while Mufasa was learning his lessons on being king (since we know from the books that Kopa received lessons as a cub), Taka would play with Sarabi often. certainly he was jealous of his brother before, but I think once he found out that his best friend was betrothed to his brother (since Zazu said the tradition goes back generations), that it made it all the worse. perhaps it even made him frustrated somewhat at Sarabi, which did nothing to make him anymore likable among the pride.
another thing is that Taka/Scar was originally merely ambitious. he didn't think his father loved him as much as his brother, but his idea of stealing the attention was to do things to make his father more proud of him than Mufasa. it was the hyenas that convinced him that Ahadi was ditching him, and gave him the idea to get revenge against his brother. I think that if he hadn't chosen to hang around with the wrong crowd, he would've turned out much different -perhaps even realizing he was loved by his parents just as much as Mufasa was.
and of course, he was clearly loved by Zira. I don't think he loved her in return the least bit, he possibly even found her annoying. once Nala left and the other lionesses wouldn't touch him, he only saw a way to have heirs and thus "immortality" through a continuing bloodline. Zira have two newborn cubs, one of them male, must have seemed like an amazing stroke of luck to him. and seeing Kovu, second born just like he was as, he took him in as his heir (unknowingly putting Nuka in the same situation he had been in when he was younger). Zira probably thought that would mean she would get to be his beloved queen, not knowing Scar simply wanted her cub. so seeing him as perhaps the only lion who she believed cared about her since her previous mate, she practically worshipped the ground he walked on. of course, he probably did allow for her to have special treatment while she nursed his heir, so she would've been unaware that he was using her (or perhaps she was already a little loose in the head and didn't care or believe it).
so in summary, I believe Ahadi and Uru loved him. Zira too, though in the crazed fangirl sorta way lol. and I believe several of the pride respected him and cared for his well-being as a pridemate, but didn't exactly like or love him because of his temper and sarcasm. Scar simply just no longer appreciated or understood they loved him at a certain point in his life.
