Do you think that Simba's overprotecting Kiara

I know how this overprotecting thing is, it sucks. However it helped the storyline progress and if Simba didn't have this flaw, nothing would have happened.

Yeah, Simba went a little over the top at times, but I understand it. In a lot of movies, the parents tend to be overprotective which makes the child rebel. However, it isn't that much different from having a princess (Kiara) be followed around all over with bodyguards (Timon and Pumbaa haha). I understand how much he wants her to be kept safe because it obviously is dangerous seeing as she seems to get into trouble. Simba's parents also sent Zazu with him in TLK, so there may be just a increasing anxiety of the parent towards the cub with each generation as the Pridelands become threatened haha I don't know, every hero needs a fault I guess, and I accept him for who he is, since he has a way of making a great turnaround in each movie

I didn't like that part of him in Simba's Pride :\ He was a bit "out of touch" is the best way I can put it. He lost his spark from TLK.

O think that the part of simba protecting her makes her go out and do more outragous things i dont think she would do that if simba was a little less crazy that she will get hurt

Yes, indeed he is but in my view, this is because of what happened to Kopa. Yes, I do believe that Kopa was the cub shown at the end of TLK and that something tragic must have happened to him in order for Simba to be this overprotective of Kiara. I still am undecided on whether or not I think Kopa is alive or not still, but either way, it would have lead Simba to feel as though he needed to keep an extra close watch over his new daughter, so that the same fate wouldn't befall her either. Just my opinion though. Who knows though, maybe he was just a worry-wart. lol. ^^

Simba is very overprotective of Kiara, I feel really bad for her. It must be so frustrating to have someone (and especially Timon and Pumbaa) follow you around everywhere. Simba was not even willing to let her go alone on her first hunt.

true :S though Timon was a bit more tactful than I'd have expected when Kiara confronted him during her first hunt. "No - He just doesn't want you to get hurt." I didn't think he had that level of diplomacy in him
