Simba's Missing Whiskers.

Has anyone noticed in the segment of the movie, "The Morning Report", where Simba and Mufasa receives the report from Zazu, that Simba is drawn without whiskers? His nose also changes color from the previous shot where he is walking and talking with Mufasa.

Well, that's also the scene that they only added in for the special release. I, for one, dislike the animation in it anyway. Totally not as good as the rest of the film. They made Simba so... cartoony, if that makes sense. I'd just blame carelessness and lack of attention to detail by the Disney people for the poofing of the whiskers.

I somewhat noticed this, as on my siggy the 2 Simba's are also from the Morning Report scene and they too are also missing the whiskers

And, i've just looked, his whiskers disappear again when Mufasa teaches him about pouncing

Then suddenly Reappear Again

Whiskers suddenly appear again

Then after Simba pounces Zazu until the end of the song his whiskers are non-existant again, I guess Disney just got lazy/forgot to put them there

I think this is one of those cases where the animators made a few mistakes, due to the incredible number of individual frames they made.

I’ve noticed before that he’s missing them, but I’ve never really thought about it. The animators making this new scene must have forgotten to add them...

I highly doubt that the animators saw the whiskers as the main point here. But for us fans to point out something that is so obvious then it was clearly a dumb mistake. But I got to agree... He's incredibly cute without whiskers!
