Big News!!!

The talent show tryouts are this week and I'm going to play "Cuts Like a Knife" by Bryan Adams. Here's the bottom line, I need all the support I can get. I've been practicing for hours. I would've practiced longer, but then my fingers started bleeding. I'm not that optimistic a person so I need a lot of encouragement and support from my pride and my friends. (That would you you guys here on MLK) I'm gonna get back to practicing as soon as my fingers stop bleeding so, yeah. Wish me luck on Thursday!

Nah, the cat was chased off by the neighborhood dogs. And your fingers bleed when you play the guitar for a really really really long time, so it's a, let's just say, "natural" thing. And I'll make a video of me playing "Cuts Like a Knife" and post it here.

Sounds like you're getting those calluses in shape! Practice makes perfect, and it sounds like you're doing plenty of that. Just remember to have fun with it--play from your heart and you will always rip it! =D

Your fingers don't always bleed when you play guitar. I've been playing all the time since 2005 and my fingers haven't bled once. The tips are tougher on my one hand though.

If I'm lucky, I could convince the principal to let me play at the next school dance there is. If it's during this school year. If it's next year, it'll give me tons more time to figure out how to write a good song and practice. So I'm praying to god something GOOD will happen to me sometime soon. My principal plays guitar too and he lets bands play at school dances. Even though it was just once. And my dad's teaching me how to sing in key so that's going great. Tryouts are Thursday for me, so I gotta practice extra hard and work on my singing tons. Wow, that's a lot to say.
