Growing Up [Private: TheLastLion & Stormy]

[Stormy]

"Eh." Flash replies as they began to walk again. "She has been giving me that look since I got here."

[TheLastLion]

"She'll grow out of it... I hope." They began walking toward their destination.

[Stormy]

They eventually make it to their destination after quite the hike. "Well, here we are." Flash says as they arrived. It wasn't somewhere extremely high, but still higher up regardless. A large portion of stars were visible from where they were. It was quite the view.

"Kayla told me you liked to stargaze with your mother on some nights."

[TheLastLion]

Sadie said nothing as she took in the view upon reaching the hilltop. "What can I say, Kayla just knows me well," Sadie made a feeble attempt to hide her blush. "And I guess you do as well."

[Stormy]

"Well, there's no reason I wouldn't know you well, perhaps just as much or even more than Kayla." Flash replied. "While you were at the waterhole earlier today, I was talking to her, she told me about you and your mom's stargazing, and that's how I got the idea to take you here. I've been here a few times by myself. Back when I was with the other pride, I would come here to relax and clear my head. It's a peaceful area."

[TheLastLion]

"It is... very peaceful," was all she could think to say at that moment. "So, what is it you wanted to talk about?"

[Stormy]

"Well... for one.. I was thinking it over last night..." Flash began. "And remember how there was the two options about the king thing? Well... I made my decision."

[TheLastLion]

Sadie waited with baited breath. "And... w-what decision did you arrive at in the end?"

[Stormy]

Flash takes a deep breath himself. "I decided... that.. I would rule as King beside you." Flash says slowly. "Not because I want to be king, but because.. I want to be there for you... and with you."

[TheLastLion]

Sadie could hardly believe what she was hearing. She didn't respond immediately as she was too busy dealing with the number of emotions she felt simultaneously: shock, joy, and immense relief. She pulled Flash into a tearful embrace.
