I believe you also need a special program because, to the best of my knowledge, Windows Media Player does not support Blu-Ray.
Since TLK was not originally made in HD (or at least I don't think it was) I don't see how watching it on Blu-Ray would make it better. Movies on Blu-Ray only look awesome if they were made in that kind of quality.
You should read this, it explains how older movies are transferred and remastered to HD-quality: http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/featur ... -edge.html .

Here is a comparison between my DVD-PAL version (downer) and 1080p version (upper) from "The Frog and the Princess" trailer here: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/disn ... hefrog/hd/ .

This is only from a trailer and the final result will probably look better than this and it seems it will come out in October 2011 http://animationonbluray.com/news/dumbo ... g-in-2011/ . :excited:

aww man! I haven't got blu-ray :disgust: but I don't see a lot of difference between "normal" HD and blu-ray either? The colours are slightly different, that's all?

It'll probably be more about the extra features that they add onto this version, or at least, here's hoping they do, cause they can't really improve the quality of the movie, aside from actually formatting it so it works better with HDTVs I suppose. Depending on if they do include all three movies in one release, or if they do them one by one, that'll leave plenty of room for new extras, although knowing Disney, they might recycle some old ones in there too. >.> Either way though, my PS3 will finally get a bit of a work out come 2011. :)

okay, I sure hope there will be something like a new scene, or putting in Mheetu, or something like that :D But 2011, that's still a long time to wait DX :P
