Maybe I'll work on some more of those mood buttons for a bit. There are still moods I've not gotten around to, after all.

I don't know where to go from here now that I'm done with high school. I feel stuck and unable to anything I need to. I need to get a job, and I plan to get one eventually, but I don't have a car to get there, and I don't have my license to boot. Driving makes me far too nervous to have the drive to attempt to get my license. I have no way to get to the community college either, due to a lack of a car or my license. My issues with self-motivation also worry me about going to college. So I'm stuck in this massive rut with no social life, no way to get a job or go to college, and I have no way to get out of it.

^ Can you not get a ride from anyone? I'd be in loads more trouble than I am in if I had to drive myself; being in a car is pretty trying for me after a wreck last fall, and I have no car or license, so my mom drives me to work, and used to she or one of my siblings would drive me to college. It's not ideal, but if you can get someone to give you a ride or if you can make use of public transport you can still do things that you'd normally need a car for.

Also, in general, I've found that things are rarely quite as hopeless and terrible as they seem, although sometimes they really are. Most of the time it's about getting into a place mentally where you're able to deal with it, more than anything else. That right there can really take some doing though... I'm by no means an expert at this skill yet.

Anyway, I'm sure there's something that you can do, and if you're able to get by right now, I'd advise not letting yourself stress too much and rush it; that will just make things harder.

^ Both of my parents work, and I'm a total shut-in with horrible social anxiety, so I can't really get any rides from anyone. None of my brothers drive either, plus they're all younger than me. And I live out in the boondocks of nowhere land, so there isn't any public transportation where I live. I mean, I know my situation isn't hopeless. I can find solutions eventually, preferably by getting my license. I'm long past the point of feeling hopeless about everything and life in general. I've lived through that, and I have no desire to go back to it. I'm mostly just frustrated right now, and I feel rushed. My parents pressuring me to get a job already isn't helping either. I just... ugh... life is just really frustrating sometimes.

Oh I quite understand. I've been pretty rushed the past few months and everything is stressful and frustrating when you can't figure out how to get from where you are to where you want to be. Don't let your parents pressure you too much though! I know it's really hard not to feel rushed and pressured by the things parents say, and sometimes they can be the opposite of helpful and make things a million times harder, but in the end it's your life, not theirs, and if you can afford to wait at all you need to take your time and figure out what you should be doing; it's not smart to just sit around doing nothing, but you also shouldn't be out applying for jobs that you know you can't do or anything like that, either. If you get into something you absolutely can't do, you'll end up bailing practically immediately and that's gonna look bad on you. That's what happens if you rush. I guess the best thing is to pace yourself.

For that matter, it would probably be a good idea to do something like what Flip was telling me to do the other day: give yourself little goals each day of something you can do that will get you a bit closer to moving on in life. It makes things a little bit more manageable that way.
