^ I don't like being called cute or lovely either. For me, it makes me feel like a small child. I'm not 5. Don't call me cute.

I love being cute. Perhaps it's because I'm genderfluid so gender stereotypes are meaningless to me. Perhaps it's because at the age of 34 I love the idea of being called something that makes me sound younger. :D

I guess also, the difference between me and what KD was saying, is that I'm called cute and lovely by people in person, mostly by people who actually know me, rather than by people I've never met, on the internet. I can see how that could be a bit awkward / creepy.

I just almost went for my first dip in the sea of the year, but I chickened out at the last moment. Too much of a breeze. :D

I don't mind "cute" in certain contexts or sparingly, but lately, these people I hardly know keep saying it. And they won't let me talk about like, anything, instead giving me non-answers or, as I said in the last post, changing the subject. If they don't care about what I have to say, they oughtn't be using those terms. It feels derogatory.

Especially since this hasn't happened to me until now, and these people obviously see me as something... petite and... not masculine. I'm just ridiculously tired of being seen as feminine, and it's always other guys saying it in a way that seems like they're talking down to me.

Maybe I'm taking it too seriously on account of insecurity or something, but the way it's been used towards me gives me the impression I'm not being taken seriously.

^ Best way to be taken seriously is just to be you and just to naturally present the person you are to the world, without forcing it. Some may take longer than others to see you as male, but you don't need other people to validate who you are. Don't take yourself too seriously and don't over-analyse because it'll drive you crazy. Personally I've had no trouble as seeing you as male. Even before you came out as transgender, you never came across as feminine to me.

First thing my baby did when she saw me when she got back with her nanny? Gave me the biggest smile ever, kick her legs with absolute excitement, then for the first time ever pulled my face towards her and gave me a kiss (the closest thing to a kiss a baby can do anyway!) Excuse me while I go cry with absolute delight. Gah, words can't describe how much I adore her <33

Honestly, from your posts I've always gotten creepy vibes from those people. Using pet names for someone you barely know and never aknowledging what you have to say... that's not something reasonable people do. Sounds like they want something from you rather than just be your friend. :/

Then again I don't know them and it's not fair to judge them from just a handful of posts alone, but that's just my two cents. Don't see a point talking to people who don't actually seem interested in what you have to say. :/

Kids can be sweet like that. :)

I suppose you're right. I'm horribly impatient about everything though and some of these people never knew me as "female" so I don't know, it's weird. Anyhow thanks. :3

Oh good I'm not the only one creeped out. I thought maybe that was just part of my failure to understand normal social activity. I do my best to avoid these people but they're a bit stubborn.

Of course, I'm a bit wary of just about anyone who approaches me anyhow, lol.
