Well there is software to make the game think the controller is a keyboard and mouse. Not sure if you've ever used it.

I haven't used that one but I have used similar. That one always gave me viruses. The problem is that I can't program it to actually function like a controller; and PC Minecraft is one of the most user unfriendly things I've ever tried to use... second only to Mac computers. It's awkward as hell the way I've had it working before since you can't use it the way you'd play on a console. I'm trying some other things out though that supposedly get closer.

We'll have to see what happens though.

Ok. Yeah minecraft is odd to learn, but once learned all the other versions seem really limited as to what you can do.

I just don't understand why they can't make it functional--they could keep the features in and still make it playable. The version on PC is overly complicated; why can't they have a crafting menu like on the console?

Why do I have to gaffe constantly and look a damn fool trying to make basic crap cos I have to either memorize or look up patterns?

The whole freaking point of Minecraft is to do something peaceful/relaxing/whatever-the-hell-the-word-I'm-looking-for-is and making it more complicated completely takes that away from the game. It's not enjoyable if you have to spend 5-10 minutes doing simple crap (which, with the way I can get the controller to work or the keyboard means everything because it just DOES NOT FREAKING CONTROL)...

Microsoft owns freaking Minecraft. They should put in native controller support. They own Windows. They own Xbox and their controllers... I don't get why the hell this issue still exists.

Obviously they want people who can't keyboard and mouse to not play their crap.

Not sure what they did with that on the Windows 10 Edition. Though not many people play it though.

Well, that version wasn't even a thing when I acquired the game. The way I have it to work is super inconvenient though. I'll keep trying to fix it, but the best way I found so far won't help in multiplayer--since it involves mods and everyone else playing would need the same ones.

I got a semi-functional control scheme but yeah... it's slow... and awkward... to do anything except go places. I'm glad I'm not the one who spent money on this.
