I love the Lion King because:
it's about my favorite animal species: lions
the music from Hans Zimmer and Elton John
the sing-along-songs that are in the movies
the character designs
the story
the merchandise, figurines, posters etc
it came out in 1994, the best year of my life
the movie has every emotion in it: happy, sad, anger, fear and so much more
this movie was a revolution in animated movie-making
it still impresses me after all those years, no other movie impressed me that much

I'm actually surprised that this topic has gotten a lot of comments seeing as there are so many people on MLK for the obvious reason of loving The Lion King. lol 
I'll just add that TLK had always given me a place of escape from the real world, and taught me life-long lesson. ^^
