I shrugged a little, saying, "Yeah, my Mom taught me." I smiled a little bit as I remembered when Mom and me would sing the same song.

"That's cool. It's nice when you have a family member that you can connect with like that," I said, sitting down on the cave floor.

"Yeah, I guess so." I said, swimming over to sit beside him on the cave floor.

I smiled at her as she sat next to me, and then laid down on my back, looking up at the ceiling. "Melody?" I began.

I looked down at him, saying, "Yes, Derek?"

I tried not to make eye contact as I formed the question in my mind and tried to get it out. "I was wondering, not that I'm in a hurry or anything, but have you ever thought about having children?"

(By the way, when are you planning on bringing in clone Melody?)

I looked at him, then looked at the other wall across from us and said quietly, "You know Derek, I actually always thought about having children. Even before we met. It's just....."

[Queen Elsa]

"Just what?" I asked, sitting up.

"Well, it's just that..... I don't know if I'll be a good mom, like how mine was to me and stuff." I said, taking a deep breath, trying not to cry.

The clone Melody was reorganizing her new home, putting some things here and there as to let the other merpeople know that she was always active, never lazy.

I looked over at her. "Melody, listen to me. You won't be a horrible mother. I'm sure of it. You're the sweetest, most caring person I know. I doubt you could ever be a horrible mother. And I'll always be around to help you."
