The new danger in the land

Tua: I love you boys!
Nuru: We love you too!
Tua: And I'm sorry Daddy made you worry!

Marini quietly lay down next to Tua as he interacted with their cubs.

[Adofo]

Nuru laid down in his fathers arms with his brother.
Nuru: So.....does this mean you and mommy will have more cubs!?
Tua: .......Uhhh.......probably not, son. I'm sorry.
Nuru: ........oh.....

Marini chose not to say anything about the subject.

[Adofo]

Tua: Boys.....the thing about having cubs is.....when you have them.....you have to make tough decisions the rest of your life. Its called parenting. And with parenting...you have to make sacrifices. You have to think of your cubs as well as your mate. It's no longer just the couple. Its them and their cubs. And women.....they make the biggest sacrifice of them all. They have to let their bodies, house, nourish and protect their unborn cubs from the second they become pregnant and keep doing that for the reat of their lives. And like with your mother...she had to stop doing some things like hunting and even just walking around for too long because she wanted to protect you boys and make sure you two were born happy and healthy! Your mother had to give up a lot to carry you two around.....and I could never put her through that again.
Nuru: So.........does that mean we'll never have any little brothers and sisters?
Tua: ............well............yes.
Nuru: ................oh.............well.......at least mommy won't have to give up more of her life for them.....i guess...

Marini sighed and rolled her eyes. "What part of 'I want to think about it' did you not get?" she whispered in her mate's ear. "Stop jumping to unnecessary conclusions and for crying out loud, learn to think about what you're saying to your sons..." She smiled at Mufasa and Nuru. "Mommy never said that." she told them. "I'm still thinking about it. Besides, there's no law that says I need to have more cubs now."

Tua: Right.....sorry. I'm just.....feeling a little dizzy from that stuff i drank

Mufasa tilted his head in an adorable manner. "What did you drink, daddy?"

Tua: Some stuff Rafiki gave me to.....fix daddy. Ugh.....I don't feel good. Marini.....can you please get me some water?

Marini nodded. "Of course." She stood up. "You boys stay with your father until I get back. Don't leave the den." She gave them a slight frown. "Seriously, you need to start listening to me when I say that..." Turning around, the young lioness left.
