Speaking of fan ages I am 44. I started Kiara's Sahifa (
http://www.lionking.org/~kiara) in 1998 and have maintained it since then and am interested to see there will likely be more Kiara content coming. TLG does seem like it will take place shortly after the events of SP. And it will be very interesting to see if Kiara (and other SP-specific characters) will be rendered in the higher quality style matching the main feature film itself.
Wow, talk about a blast from the past! I remember your site, Christian. Aside from lionking.org and Kubo's Spot (anyone else remember it?), it was probably my most-visited TLK site.
On the topic of Kion's name again, I discovered
this comment by Kreoko, a DeviantART user:
"Kion" is an invented name derived from the Maasai word "Kiongozi", which means "take leadership". So, maybe Kion's name is actually Kiongozi, just calls himself Kion for short :p
Again, this might just be another coincidence, but out of all the other name meanings that have been tossed out so far, this seems to make the most sense.
Also, It's funny that they claim The Lion Guard will be ''educative'' while there's nothing educational at all about a lion cub with magic.
I'm not sure I fully understand where you're coming from with this statement -- do children's educational programs
have to be 100% grounded in reality in order to be considered educational? I mean, by that same logic, you could say that there's nothing educational about a city street inhabited by a giant, yellow talking bird and a grumpy green monster that lives in a trash can, yet look how highly regarded "Sesame Street" is.
