Slowly, Mstari dug her claws deeper and deeper into Samaki's skin. Samaki kept crying out with pain, and finally, after she lost a terrible amount of blood, Mstari leaped deftly off of her and lightly trotted away. "Done," she said lightly.

Samaki slowly, slowly drifted away into deep unconsciousness. She barely breathed. Yekize realized her throat had been punctured.

Adofo picked her up and ran her into the zoo. He ran her to the zoo's hospital, which was right across the lion exhibit.
Doctor: Oh no....she's lost a lot of blood! We don't have enough here!
Adofo: Then....then take mine! I'm her father just...please! Don't let her die!
Doctor: Okay! Okay!
They quickly hooked them both up to a machine that slowly took his blood and pumped it into Samaki.
Adofo: Baby........please fight! Please baby! I can't lose you! Please!
The doctor's sealed up her wounds.
