TLK Fan of the Month - April 2014!

April is wrapping up, so it's time to start thinking about which of MLK's members stood out to you with showing off that we are all fans of the movies here. I am not seeing any issues with the nominations from the previous rounds, so keep it up! Just in case, here are the rules again:

* Each month, members will nominate up to four members who they consider active enough fans to be considered "fans of the month".

* New members can be nominated one month after their joining the forum. If it's TLK fan of the month, it won't necessarily be fair to allow one-week old members to win compared to the older members who might not necessarily have a storage box of new ideas ready to be opened upon joining MLK.

* When nominating a member, provide a reason why they are being nominated. Unfortunately, a "I nominate 'X' because they are a great TLK fan!" will not be accepted. Try to provide a link or even a reference as to why they are a fan. Also, keep references for those that are on MLK. It won't be very nice to have members be nominated for something they did off MLK. Keep it on the forum please.

*The contest renews itself after each new year. If a member won in a year, they cannot be nominated again ultil the next year

These members have gotten themselves disqualified from being nominated: Timon the Great, The Lion Prince, and Ninaroja. Everyone else is fair game to be nominated!

Nominations will go on until Sunday, May 11th!

No nominations yet? We got less than a week guys! Is the TLK spirit that low?

Here are my picks for nominees:

Moolion: Nothing particular stands out to me, except that he does seem to be popping up everywhere, so I will give him that.

TheWhistlerify: Well, for one there's that RP we have going on, but that's all OCs. However, I did get him really into the movies again, to the point where he even submitted a story for the writing contest, so for me, that counts!

nalasimba83 Also for the writing contest. Got an entry in very quickly, unlike the usual last minute rush. Didn't read it yet though.

juhouh: I also see him popping up in the TLK sections a lot.

I'll edit this post later with more nominations:

Julie Skywalker: Is a very active participant in all TLK sections and always gives very thorough well thought out answers to all posts.

DGFone - Is running not one but two on-topic contests and regularly posts to the on-topic sections, and like Julie always makes very good responses to everything.

If I don't add anymore nominees to my list after making this post, these are the ones that I got up-front:

DGFone: I still see that he's doing almost everything he can to keep the spirit of TLK alive on this forum that's based from it, from the MLK Writing Contest that he hosts, to the posts in The Kingdom section. It's surprising to me that he still hasn't won this contest yet.

Zonofon: I like that he continues to contribute to at least the Line by Line topic in the LK 1 1/2 sub forum, but I also like that he also wants to bring out the best and reality of our most adored LK character like in this post.

MooLion: I have seen nothing but positive posts from this member in the LK film sub forums and I think she deserves a nomination considering all of these posts she has made during last month.

Disqualified? Lol? That choice of word sounds incorrect to me.

DGFone: As already mentioned, because of the tireless work of the contests and good answers on the forum.

Juhouh: Quite active in topics about TLK.

DGFone: He is still regularly active in the movie threads with sharp responses, and posted some interesting threads in the past few months in the "Beyond The Lion King" section of the forum.

Zonofon: Still contributes to the "Lion King 3 Line by Line" thread, and made a new thread I'll be responding to eventually.

Julie Skywalker: I love some of her well-thought out responses to the massive load of threads by ScarLoyal, and still contributes stories to the MLK Writing Contests which is some real dedication.

juhouh: Nothing really specific stands out, but he finds a clever balance between discussing the movies, as well posting in the off topic threads.

ScarLoyal, for making all of those threads, even if some of them aren't the best.

DGF for running these contests, replying to many of the TLK posts with thoughtful answers.

Uhm.

I guess also juhouh for the reasons you guys have said.

I can't think of anyone else who's actually been active in TLK sections a lot and is up for nomination.
