He's probably just not as interesting in drawing as much as us. I know my friends laugh when they see my pinterest because it's filled with drawing refs and pics. Don't take it to hard. I doubt he really thought much of it other than he wasn't interested not that they weren't good enough. Everyone has their own tastes. Also you might have tons of guys that like you but at that age nobody will say anything out loud. It's not that they don't like you, think of how many times you've told your friends or someone you kind of know that you are glad they're your friend... like me you probably don't say it enough. They probably are the same way. That's good your happy with yourself because you are amazing! Many animators would love to have you aboard for your skill. I think you just need to see that people do like you (your personality, art ,everything!) Maybe just send a text or to your friends telling them how much you appreciate their friendship even though it's random. Most likely they'll say something nice back, not because they feel they have to buy because they do care.
