Well, I've never had a chance to explain this, so I am going to do it like this.

In my theory, Kopa DIDN'T die. He and Vitani became King and Queen of the Pridelands and had the common litter of three cubs. The male, Talu, and the females, Shani and Heckima. Talu was the future monarch.

As for Kovu and Kiara, who later became the Duke and Duchess, they had two cubs, A male called Chaka, and a female called Amira.

Talu- Orange fur, brown mane, blue eyes.
Shani-Peachy fur, a tuft of hair like Vitani, blue eyes.
Heckima-Orange fur, no tuft, blue eyes.

Chaka-Oronge fur, black mane, green eyes.
Amira-Brown fur, no tuft, red eyes.
