Chapter 1 -
This is Mark _____. One thing you don't know about Mark is that he has been sitting in that chair for quite a while, trying to figure out what it is he should do. Should he go through with the lawsuit that the lawyer had handed him a while back, or should he just forgive and forget.
Yet, how could he forget? The people almost took his life running him over. They broke every bone in his body, and for all the medical bills it cost, he wanted some money back for it. So he decided that he would start to fill it out. What would be the harm anyways...? He figured, they had a nice new car, how could they not pay for the expenses of almost killing him.
The pen ran across the paper, nice and slowly, as to not make any mistakes. Once he was done, he double checked it, and hollered for the lawyer.
The lawyer then walked in.
"What do you need, Mister _____?" he asked.
"I'm done filling out the lawsuit. Would you please do what needs to be correcly done with it?" Mark answered, and handed him the piece of paper. The lawyer walked to the doorway.
"It's a pleasure doing buisness with you, but I really must be going now. I'm sorry to leave you off with not much notice at all," the lawyer said, and left the room.
Mark Decided to leave the room aswell.

Later that night he was reading the most recent Stephan King book, when the phone began to ring. He picked up the phone, and was surprised to see who was on the other line. It was the man who hit him.
"I'm so sorry what I did to you Mark. I'm really sorry. But did you really have to fill out that lawsuit, man? I don't want my house taken away because of some petty little... hit and run incident," he said.
"?" Mark said, almost in tears by the time he had finished.
IT WASN'T SOME 'PETTY LITTLE HIT AND RUN INCIDENT'. You almost took my life. You ran away with my nearly lifeless body on the side of the road. How could I just drop the charges? I had a bill for over a hundred thousand for the hospital. How can you even think of calling it a 'petty little hit and run incident'
Mark slammed down the phone, and suddenly got a horrible throbbing headache. It felt like baloons were inflating, and deflating in his ears, and he started to scream so loud that the veins in his neck bulged, and spit flew out of his mouth in all directions.
He knew that he was going to have fun the day that he'd have to go to court over this. He didn't even know that he'd end up with another plan by the end of the day he went to court.

The day of court came. Mark say in the chair he was assigned to, and looked at the judges seat. The man to whom he was sueing came up to him, with an offer.
"I'll give you five thousand dollars right now, in cash, if you drop the charges," he said, and shoved the money in Mark's face.
"I'm sorry, but you petty little money is not what I really want. I want you to suffer for what you've done. I want you to hear from other people what you've done," Mark replied, and shoved the money back into his face.
The man walked away, crying.

It was now almost the end of the trial. Mark was suddenly called up to the witnesses chair, and was told to give his events of what happened. Mark gave them.
"Well, it all started in the morning. My wife didn't want anything to do with me, and told me that I wasn't allowed to take my car to work that day. So I did what I was forced to do everyday, and went to work. I started to walk, and got a bit of an uneasy feeling. I clicked the stoplight button, and waited for it to turn green. It did just that, turned green. So I started to walk. I made it safely across the first half, but I did notice one insane thing. That man over there was going well over the speed limit, and was about 50 feet away. He didn't look at all like he had an intention to stop. But knowing it was a red light for him, I decided to continue. Then, it hit me like no tomorrow. I was struck by the car. I saw the car continue to speed off, and I heard another cars door slam. Then I heard screaming, and that was all I could remember before I blacked out," he said, and looked over at the jury.
"Well Jury, what's your verdict?" the judge asked.
"We find the defendant, Guilty of all charges," the girl said, and sat back down.
"Well then, Mister _____, I sentence you to 5 months in prison, for hit and run, and a find of a hundred thousand dollars for this mans medical bills, and another twenty thousand, for his troubles," the Judge said, and signaled that the court was over with.
That was a lot of money, I could do this for a living, if I could pull it off correctly, Mark thought.
