Once upon a time
with the moonlit still,
a young boy lay
perched upon a hill.
Daydreaming of legends
and fairy tale things,
Of the exploits of heroes,
and the ravages of kings.
The boy sprang up,
alarmed by a sudden thought,
"I want to be a hero,
There are battles to be fought."
As the young boy awoke,
to the shining daylight.
There was an odd feeling all around,
something wasn't quite right.
He found his body covered in armor,
From his head and to his toe.
At his side a shimmering blade,
and on his back a long-bow.
As he turned to the valley,
he looked on in awe.
A small bustling town,
was the image he saw
However,
The foulest stench was in the air.
A horrible huge beast
Whose emotions were only hate and despair.
As the feeling over took him,
he looked to the sky,
Finding a hellish dragon,
and his flaming red eyes
For this dragon was no fool,
he had but one request:
A fair maiden of purity,
And only the best.
The boy unsheathed his blade,
and ran towards the town.
To slay this cruel dragon,
and bring the beast down.
As the boy entered the village,
nd arrived on the scene,
There stood the leviathan,
and its fur of dark green.
The lizard turned,
With rage burning strong.
The dragon then unleashed,
Its fiery song.
The hero hit the ground,
the flames flew over his head
If the beast were to keep this up,
he'd sure be dead!
The hero pulled forth his bow,
grabbing a charm from his side,
He tied it to his arrow and fired.
The dragon's eyes opened wide
Sure enough the arrow struck,
the beast staggered back and fell to the right
Crashing down hard,
with all of his might.
The crowds cheered in celebration,
the knight took a great bow.
His mission was complete,
his job was done now.
The young boy awoke,
to the shining daylight,
Upon the same hill he had lied,
that faithful night.
It was all a dream
It was all in his head?
His heart and mind were riddled
With thoughts of long and dread.
The boy had another thought:
And with this his mind became clean.
Maybe our lives are already an adventure,
maybe we are missing something, we don't even need
If that is ture,
then let us not be quick to jump the gun.
For your life is also an adventure,
and it has only just begun.
