He had to keep running. He had to get away from this life and those people. All they cared about was taking everything and hurting others for their own enjoyment. Saibo couldn't understand why they would be like that, then again he was a wolf not a human. He spent enough time with them to know that there are good humans and bad humans, just like with wolves. The humans he is running from however, their just plain evil and he wanted nothing more to do with them. He couldn't take being forced to hurt people for no reason. He had been running for three days and wanted to keep running, but he would need a rest sooner or later. Slowing down to a stop, Saibo looked around for any source of water. Spotting a small puddle, he walked over to it and took a drink. After finishing, he stood there looking at his reflection. He had light brown fur with a gray underbelly that went up to his face. There was a scar on the left side of his body he got from a fight with a pitbull. He looked like any other wolf, except for 2 features that stood out. His ear, eye, and left side of his face was machine. A metal plate covered the face with bolts around the outside from when the humans stuck it on and had a red cross engraved on it. His left ear was shaped to be an ear, but he is unable to move it and it had gears on the inside that allowed him to hear with it. His eye was just a tiny cylinder scope. The lens would change colors depending on how he was feeling, green if he was happy or feeling normal, blue if he was sad, and red for when he was angry which is it's current color. The second feature that was noticeable was his front left leg. As with the side of his face, it has also been replaced with machinery. It had three wheels on it, one on the shoulder, one down the middle of the arm, and one attached to his paw. He had two arm segments that were attached to the wheels. These arms had long gaps in the middle that looked similar to the bone of a human arm. His metal paw had sharp knifes that acted as his claws. He stood there staring at the machinery, remembering when he first got them.
His name is Saibo, although that isn't his real name. His parents died when he was a week old. He had no memory of them or how they died, all he remembered was when the human found him. He took Saibo back to his home in a place called Washington D.C. Saibo remembered how much he hated living with that human. He was always being beaten and would most of the time go days without having food. When he was older, he was forced into events called dog fights. There would be a group of humans standing in a circle yelling and cheering. Saibo never wanted to fight the other dogs, but it was about life or death, either by the dogs or the humans. Saibo had been successful in many of the fights, but it didn't last. In his final match against a pitbull, the dog had gotten a hold of his front left leg, nearly ripping it off. While Saibo was on the ground, the pitbull continued attacking him, ripping the side of his face. The humans finally called the dog off and Saibo was left there to die. Another group of humans showed up however. They wore strange looking suits and were carrying what Saibo heard referred to as guns. They took him to a building and had his arm and the left side of his face replaced with machinery. That's also when they named him Saibo, which was short for “cyborg” in Japanese. He didn't see much of a difference between these people and his last human other than the fact that they actually fed him. That changed one day when they took him out into the city. It diffidently looked like it had seen better days. There was rubble laying all over the place, most of the buildings were destroyed. Off in the distance, Saibo saw a big tower that he heard the humans call the Washington Monument, with a big patch of black smoke rising from behind it. He had been lead to groups of strangers and watched his humans bully and beat them. Sometimes he was forced to attack them, though he couldn't understand why. What purpose could it serve for them to harm innocent people? This had been going on for a month until the day he lost it. They had found a small family, a mother with two children. He watched in shock and anger as they started beating the family then tried to get him to attack them. This was the one thing he wasn't going to stood so he just stood there. After several warnings, the humans beat him to the ground. He then heard a gun shot and looked up as he watched the mother fall and the gun firing at the children. Something snapped in Saibo and he felt hatred at humans rise in him. The lens of his metal eye turned bright red and he attacked the humans. Using what he learned from his time with these humans, he avoided being shot and tried to outwit them whenever he could. He took a beating, but he refused to let up until they were dead. After several minutes, the fight had ended and Saibo was successful. He ran away from the site, running until he jumped on top of a red car that had crashed into some debris. He lied down and began to cry, for the family and for having to attack all the innocent humans. He was done, he couldn't anymore of this so he got up and ran. He kept on running for three days until he reached a forest, and kept running when he entered.
He was growling when he returned to reality. The thought of those humans made him furious. He wanted to kill them all and help those helpless innocents, but he couldn't do it by himself. He doubted anyone would help him even if they could. He couldn't go back to help them, but he can't just be a normal wolf with a pack, he's too different now. Saibo didn't know what to do, but he did know one thing. He would always help someone in need. He will never stand by and watch them get bullied. That seemed like a good start, then maybe he could find others to help. He hoped. Turning from the puddle, Saibo continued to move deeper into the forest, away from the humans.
