The Sword of Fu - Story Progression.

SO! I'm finally getting going on my Chi Cat story (To learn about them, go to the Chi Cat link in my sig)

My brother told me about the 8 steps of movie writing, which also work for comic/story writing.
Here's a WIP, I'll update as I progress with things.

ALSO, I'd love feedback more than anything else. I plan on trying to get this published and I need to know what would sell!


1. Ghost – Past.
• Joins school
• Fun, learning Chi, making friends, getting in trouble.
• No longer gets Mothers letters.
• Goes home.
• Village burnt to ground
• See’s mother as Dark Chi
• Avalanche
• Lost

2. Status Quo – Normal life.
• Drinks
• One good friend (maybe/Orapa)
• Small house
• No job/ bad job

3. Incident – Hint, big event.
• See’s a body in the river
• Doesn’t know what to do
• She’s still alive
• Takes her home

2b. Incident – New knowledge.
• She tells him what happened to her while she’s semi-conscious
• Wakes up and runs away
• Asks what she was
• Master ignores
• Dark Chi breaks in and kills student/s
• Master kills it
• Asks again
• Finds out about Dark Chi and Sword is real
• Learns of quest
• Accepts offer to get life back on track/glory
2c. Incident – No turning back.
4. Meeting Allies – Adventure world.
• Some adventures – ideas WIP

5. Getting Better – Confident, etc. Reminded of bad gal.
• Got 5 pieces
• Knows where last piece is
• Dark Chi gets there first
4b. Twist – Bad things happen.
• A. Friend is killed
OR
• B. Bitten by Dark Fu

6. Grace – Can’t do it.
• A. Goes back to the mountain village
• Reminded by item of clothing or toy, maybe bones
OR
• B. Thinks about killing himself
• Realises only has a couple weeks
• Must complete mission

7. Fight Back – Bad gal fights. Good guys fight back.
• Fights Dark Chi
• Looses
• Almost looses sword too


8. Deus Ex Machina: God in the Machine – Turning point.
• Gets swords power
• Sen (White Chi) family come to help.

9. Fight Back 2 – Fight goes well. Warrior reborn.
• Fights Dark Chi
• Kills her (Epic battle, stabs her) Maybe Drunken style.
• Chi energy surge?
• Epic battle with Dark Fu
• Wins

10. New Status Quo – New normal life.
• Opens school
• Teaching students
• Wife and cub

11. Gag – Probably not.
• Cub has a hint of Dark Chi?
