Another tale from my AU version of Kung Fu Panda. No bashing or flaming please.

Lament For The Valley
Po and Tigress had now settled in Gongmen City with their five-year old twin daughters, the white tigress Mei-Lin and the panda Huan Ning. Though Lord Shen was dead and Xiu-Fen and Ming-Jin now sat upon the throne of Gongmen City, they both felt the pain of the destruction of the Jade Palace and of the village where they had both grown up. Right now, they looked out of one of the windows of the chamber of the palace which they now called home. They were looking in the direction of their former home. Tigress then began to lament:
The Valley Of Peace
The only home I’ve ever known
The place
Where I was raised
The place
Where I found the love of my life
Though you lie in ruins
You will
Never pass from my mind
Po hugged Tigress closely as a tear rolled down her cheek. She held him in return, leaning into his shoulder.
“Hush, Tigress. Everything is fine,” he said in a gentle tone.
Tigress sighed as she attempted to quell the tears from bursting out into a full-fledged crying fit. So much was going on at the moment. However, she decided that she would remain strong. The girls needed to see their mother as the image of how a Kung Fu warrior should conduct themselves.
