Kodi, like any dog would, tried to run away. But he was just too weak to move not to mention stand up.

The wolves immediately stopped however as Annabeth growled at them. "How can you care for a lowly dog?"

Kodi continued to lie on Annabeth's back, since there was nothing he could do anyways.

Annabeth said nothing and the wolves said, "We'll let you go for now...you are to come back to this same spot in 3 days or else..."

Kodi hesitated but waited to hear the rest.

The wolves laughed, "Or else were goin' to look for ya ad it won't be pretty." Annabeth immediately left with Kodi. "I don't think they were serious."

Kodi sighed and groaned as another wave of pain went through his back, "I don't know what to think anymore..."

Annabeth tried to console him, "We're almost there. Don't worry you can always go to the human town and be safe remember?"

Kodi sighed, "You can't."

[VitanisMate]

Annabeth said, "I'll be fine. I can take care of myself." Of course a pack of that size would kill her quickly but she kept that fact from Kodi.
