Xiu Fen sat Tai Shan approaching her and she looked to her mom and dad, "Ill be right back!" she said with a smile and she quick ran to meet Tai Shan halfway. "Did you get into trouble? What did you learn?" she asked softly reclining back.

Tai Shan smiled at his friend. "Well, they just told me not to do it again, and I learned that the king once did something similar to what we did when he was young," he said.

At the moment, Cheng-Ti was relaxing with his family. Tai Shan was resting between his mother's paws. As he looked at his son, Cheng-Ti became even more determined to protect him. He awaited the day that Tai Shan would grow into a mighty adult tiger. Until that day though, Cheng-Ti and Mei-Lin would look after him and train him.

"Oh man..really..well then your not the only one." she added. Xiu Fen went back to her mother and father and tugged on her sleeping father's ear, "Dad, can we go get sum water? I'm thirsty and bored." she added in a small whiny tone. Her small paws pushed on Wei Wen's furry cheeks and she tugged on his ear once more playfully.

Wei Wen awoke to his daughter's request. "Yes, honey, we can go," he said. The male tiger arose and yawned, briefly showing his four fearsome fangs.

Xiu Fen smiled and awed at her dad's fangs, "Are my teeth going to be that big when i grow up?" she asked curiously. Xiu Fen padded beside her father as they made their way towards the watering spot. She noticed a small colorful bird land on a rock and she crept low to pounce on it. Quickly she picked up speed and tried to pounce, she slipped on her own front paws and tumbled into the dirty ground. "Omphh..." she grumbled with a painful whine.

Wei Wen saw what happened with his daughter and chuckled a bit. "Keep trying, honey. The more you practice, the better you'll get," he told her. The sight brought him back to his own cubhood, when similar things had happened to him. Now, however, he was a strong predator, capable of catching deer and wild ox. He eagerly awaited the day that Xiu Fen would do the same.
