The next morning that deer returned to Ophelia's place and said, "Do you remember anything at all?"

Ophelia, despite having not seen him, recognized him, "You again? Who are you and what do you want?"

The deer said, "I said do you want to remember your past?"

Ophelia silently nodded.

The deer said, "Come here..."

Ophelia didn't seem to be liking this one bit but she got up and walked closer.

The deer said, "There's no reason to be nervous. Nothing will happen." He suddenly put his head on hers and suddenly memories started to return.

Ophelia could see the few moments in which Nello forced himself upon her all those years ago. Despite wanting to look away, she could not. After that, she could see her two fawns again and noticed that the second one did look a little bit like Nello. While it was the result of Nello being her cousin and nothing else she could tell by her mate's expression that this was the reason to why he loved their other son more.

The deer said, "I know this is hard to understand but that Nello from long ago is not like this Nello...this Nello did not try to hurt you intentionally." He then said, "I know something that you don't."
