Leah was also sure that both Garo and Gurri were okay, but she still wanted to see for herself, "How long do you think we have to hide in here?"

"I'm sorry I even care!" Long said, "You know what I've had enough with the way you're acting towards me all the time. In fact I'm sick of it!"

Thumper sighed, before looking around for a sign of any other living being. "Hope it's all we'll see for a while."

Ronno looked around and said, "I think we are safe now." He tried to get up but his shoulder failed him and he fell down.

Long Ears' mate finally calmed down and said, "Alright! Alright! I apologize."

The doe looked at Thumper and said, "I said shut up Pinky!" Gurri again called out for Geno and Garo. The doe again said to Gurri, "I said shut up! No one is coming!"

Leah then decided to drop the idea of going around like crazy and looking for Garo. Looking for him now wouldn't change the fact of whether he was okay or not. "You should rest." she said gently, knowing that Ronno would just continue trying untill he hurt himself.

Long Ears again lost all of his anger when his mate apologized once more. He then looked from his mate to his friend a few times, "Do you think it's safe now?"

Thumper ignored her and continued looking around for a sign of anyone. Geno however was now nearby and he heard Gurri's call. "Gurri?" he called back, unable to tell where exactly his sister was.

Ronno tired to get up feeling the need to impress her and said, "No I'm all right. Let's keep going. Don't slow down for me." He went ahead and got in front of her trying to walk. He tried to hold back all of his pain, which felt like a hundred ants biting his shoulder.

Bambi the skunk looked at Long Ears and said, "Maybe. I hear birds now. I think it is safe."

Gurri called back to Geno, "Geno over here." The doe looked annoyed and said, "Have to call all of your 'needy' chums eh?" Gurri ignored her and kept calling. The doe looked at Thumper. "And as for you twinkle toes I could fling you across the field if I wanted to."

Leah could tell that Ronno was in a lot of pain because of the bullet that just went through his shoulder. She didn't bother trying to change his mind again, because she knew that there was no changing her mate's mind once he insisted on something. "Where should we start looking?" she asked, knowing that their son could be anywhere in the forest.

Long Ears was relieved the moment he began hearing the birds as well. "Glad that's over." he stated, before slowly walking outside.

"Like I said, very funny." Thumper said, before Geno arrived. He didn't pay any attention to Thumper or the doe and focused on making sure that his sister was okay. "Are you alright?"

Ronno just shook his head. "I don't know. I doesn't matter. You go ahead and decide." Just talking made him feel horrible so he stopped. He looked at Leah and said, "Go ahead and go on without me I'll just slow you down. I cannot keep up. It just hurts too much Leah." He tried to remain adamant. "I'll be okay by myself." And then added, "I was okay for over a year by myself."

Bambi the skunk smiled and said, "Gosh me too my friend."

Gurri nodded and pointed to the doe and siad, "She saved us." Instead of looking thrilled the doe just groaned realizing who the buck was now and said, "Do I have to go 100 miles away not to run into you?"

Leah sighed, "Looking for him wont change his condition anyways..." she said, walking back to Ronno, "I'm not leaving you again."

Long Ears smiled sightly now that everything seemed to be back to normal, "Where were we before all this happened?" he asked, before seeing the grass, "Oh yeah..." he said, walking over and eating some more, before looking at his friend and handing him some, "Want some?" he asked with his mouth full.

Thumper frowned, "Name one bad thing he did to ya." that doe's attitude was really annoying, however Geno interrupted him. "It's fine, don't worry about it." he said, before looking back at the doe, "Thank you for helping my sister." he then looked at Gurri, "We should go find Garo."

Ronno sighed and said, "Very well."

Bambi the skunk shook his head no. However he started to talk to Long Ears again. "I hope everyone else made it okay. I mean I am speaking of Geno and Gurri Long Ears. Gosh I hope nothing bad happened to them!"

The doe however answered Thumper's question. "One bad thing huh? How about this? He won't leave me alone." Gurri nodded but suddenly a shot rang out. The doe immediately went into her hiding spot and Gurri said to Geno, "Geno over here!" Another shot rang out.

Leah then looked around, "Do you want to lay back down?"

Long Ears shrugged, "I'm sure they're alright." he mumbled, swallowing what he had in his mouth, "We could go check if you want."

Geno was never following that doe on purpose, it just turned out that they both ended up at the same places. He wanted to protest, but then the first shot rang out. He heard the breeze caused by the bullet which flew right past his head, leaving him completely stunned. He had somehow managed to duck before the hunter shot another shot. He had never been hit by a bullet in his life. His dad, Garo, Ronno, Gurri, his mother and even Garos mother had been shot at least once as far as he remembered. He immediately ran to where Gurri, the other doe and Thumper were hiding and lay down there as well.

Ronno nodded and laid down saying, "You know you don't have to stay."

Bambi the skunk thought about it and said, "I dunno. Is it safe outside?"

Once all of them squeezed through into the hiding place the doe mumbled and said, "This is what I get for helping losers." She looked at Geno curious about something, "Why did you want to know where the Great Prince was?" Gurri went ahead and spoke up and said, "He is our father." The doe snorted and said, "Yeah funny thing that. You and every other deer in the forest say that the Great Prince is their father. Don't get angry if I don't believe you." She then said to both Geno and Gurri, "What are you boyfriend and girlfriend or something?"
