Once Leah noticed tha fallen tree, she crawled under it without thinking twice. Once Ronno was there too, she cuddled up to him trying to draw some sort of comfort so that she could keep quiet.

Long Ears then kept quiet, untill suddenly his mate started yelling again. It seemed like she was always able to find hte most stupid reason to get angry over, "I didn't mean it that way!" he whispered nervously. If she didn't calm back down, she could get them all killed.

Geno and Garo continued running, both of them sure that Gurri was right behind them the whole time. Once they were both behind the cover of the trees Geno let out a sigh, "Okay..." he started slowly, trying to catch his breath, "Now all we need is..." it was then when he noticed that Gurri had gone missing. Garo immediately began to panic, but before he could start yabbering about it Geno spoke up again, "She's got to be somewhere in the forest. You go that way, but stay low." he said, and they both took off. Thumper in the meanwhile noticed that Gurri had gotten them both to get lost. "This is fantastic." he mumbled, and then spoke to Gurri, "We have to his somewhere."

Ronno kept close to Leah and tried to calm her down, "It's all right, just don't move." Suddenly it seemed a shadowy figure appeared as they saw two feet coming toward them which had to be Man. Four feet followed behind them being dogs that helped Man.

Long Ears' mate however was still angry and shouting. "And what way did you mean it?! And I am not going to whisper I'll yell!" She started yelling out, "Now don't you dare start yelling at me!"

Gurri started to look around but noticed no one. She didn't know where she was and where the others were. Suddenly the doe saw her and groaned yelling to her, "Over here! Quickly!" Gurri went to the doe's hiding spot and the doe scooted over letting Gurri squeeze in. Suddenly Gurri looked at the doe and said, "Hey I remember you!" The doe became angry and whispered, "Shut up!" Gurri became quiet and they hunkered down for a while. Gurri looked at Thumper and whispered, "I am sorry Thumper for getting us lost." The doe meanwhile said, "Are you willing to get us both killed over that bucktoothed piece of fur!" Gurri again kept silent. The doe kept looking towards the forest.

Leah listened to Ronno and kept quiet. She however grew even more nervous nervous when she saw the two feet and heard the dogs. However before she had enough time to panic she saw the two footed creature get knocked down. The dogs began barking and she suddenly saw 4 legs of a doe or stag by the creatures, "Sorry!" she thought she recognised Garo's voice, and in a moment she saw his legs run away, followed by the dogs. She wanted to say something to Ronno, but only spoke up once the human got up and left, he sounded pretty angry, "Was that Garo?!"
she asked, sounding completely paniced.

Long Ears was beginning to lose his tempers because of his mate's behaviour "Oh, I'm sorry. Let me say this more clearly: Please be quiet so we don't get killed!"

Thumper caught his breath and cleared his voice before whispering, "You're not very, nice are you?"

Ronno was just as confused a Leah. He whispered gruffly, "I don't know." Suddenly shots rang out all through the forest, one of them hitting Ronno in the shoulder and he grimaced. It seemed Man was just firing off shots in frustration. Blood started coming down his shoulder so he made sure Leah laid her head on his other shoulder. After he thought of all the injuries he had he whispered gruffly, "I can't take it anymore! I...just...why must this happen every year?! Why must Man try to kill us every year?!"

Long Ears' mate said, "No I will not be quiet! And no no one will be killed! Now don't you dare tell me to shut up!" She kept yelling which was going to alert any predators in the area.

The doe snorted and said, "Do you need a shoulder to cry on big foot?"

Leah hoped that whoever just passed there a moment ago wasn't Garo. She nearly jumped as shots began to fly all around them and noticing that Ronno was hit in his shoulder. "Are you alright?" she asked, not trying to answer his question. She didn't know the answer to it.

Before Long Ears managed to start yell again, he heard growls of dogs. "You see what you do?!" he asked quietly, hoping that the dogs hadn't noticed them. But the seconds passed and the growls grew closer

Thumper let out a short fake laugh, "And a sense of humor too." he said, not really meaning it.

Ronno just grunted trying to mean yes. He stayed down next to Leah and said, "I can't live without you Leah. I just don't know what I would do." He looked back into the forest hoping nothing heard him.

Long Ears' mate just kept shouting, "What I have done! Your shouting brought them over here! Your shouting did that! So don't you dare balme this on me!" Bambi the skunk nervously said, "Guys uh...can we calm down?"

The doe again just ignored it and said, "More than you pink feet."

Leah sighed and smiled, not that the forest was quiet again, "I'm not leaving or anything." she said, souding slightly cheered.

Long Ears already knew that they had to stop talking, but his mate's shouting seemed to have done it's role. A moment after that, he saw the first dog. "Oh geez..." he said, grabbing his mate's hand and slowly walking backwards to the back of the den. "We're dead." he said, but then made sure he was standing between his mate and the dog.

"And you're also smart." he added, "You know what sarcasm means?" both of them didn't notice how loud they were talking.

Ronno smiled and said, "Thank you Leah."

However Long Ears' mate just kept shouting. "Why did you grab my hand?! Why did you put me back here?! Are you trying to get rid of me!" Suddenly a barrel of a gun came through the den aimed right at them. They all then suddenly stayed quiet. The barrel stayed there until a few moments later the man who was carrying it moved away from the area.

"Be quiet Pinky!" Gurri gulped and said, "Uh guys can we talk about this later."

Leah then remembered their son, "I hope Garo and Gurri are alright."

When the barrel appeared Long Ears, froze. When the human and his dogs left, he waited for them to go far before speaking up again. "What? Are you serious?" je asked, sounding out of his tempers and letting go of her hand, "I was trying to protect you!" his mate's behaviour was really starting to get onto his nerves.

Thumper only then realised how loud they have been talking and fell silent. Garo and Geno in the meantime continued running through the forest, not really knowing where were they going.

Ronno smiled and said, "I am sure they are. Of course...they are."

Long Ears' mate however said, "Protect me huh?! Are you saying I needed protection from YOU?! And yes I am being quite serious. Can you not tell?!" Bambi said, "Guys please calm down."

The doe looked at Gurri and Thumper and said, "Well I think the danger has past." Once the doe said that Gurri got up and yelled, "Geno! Garo!" The doe was dumbfounded and said, "What are you doing you idiot?!"
