Edward finished his dinner and yawned. "Well, I suppose this is goodbye for now. It was nice meeting all of you, and good to see you again, Adan. I hope to see you all again soon. Don't wait a decade before seeing me again. I may not be alive by then." While he meant it as a joke, it was kind of true. He was an old man, and he knew his days were almost up.
"Don't worry, Dad. We'll be back soon. I promise," Adan said. Edward smiled and left the dining hall.
"Oh!" I almost forgot!" Edward said, turning around and walking back into the room. "There are some gifts for all of you in your rooms. Don't forget those when you leave. Stay safe!"
"Thanks, Dad," Adan said, standing up and walking over to Edward to give him a hug. "We will. See you soon."
