Warrior Cats Roleplay with Zoketi [Private]

[Oh my gosh, I was actually smart!]

Lilykit shrugged. "No," she mewed, her voice soft as always. She curled up next to her sister, paying slight attention to Whitedeer and Poppybloom's conversation. She stretched and then curled into a little ball. She yawned and closed her pale eyes. "Going to nap," she murmured quietly to her sister.
She felt comfortable and safe, snuggled against her mother's silky fur, and her sister's soft, slightly damp pelt. She smiled a tiny bit, content and cozy. Maybe she could actually be safe from the thunder and lightning. For some reason she had always been afraid of it.

Littlekit stretched out her forepaws, claws scrunching on the nesting material. "Oh, me too." she sighed, yawning again and re-situating herself against Whitedeer and Lilykit. Her dark blue gaze swept over her sister once more before she shut her eyes too. She wasn't necessarily all that sleepy, but the rain and gloomy light outside just seemed to create a perfect atmosphere for a nap. It was quite easy for her to drift off into a land of dreams, most of which had to do with the ceremony tomorrow.

[Perhaps we could skip to the next morning, early? And it'd still be raining.]

[Sure.]

Lilykit awoke the next morning, at an early time; the sun was just starting to rise, and the sky was still depressingly gray and stormy. She sighed and avoided the sticky, thick mud that was just slowly trickling into the den.
Flicking her short tail she looked at her sister. "Well, it's still raining," she meowed. She flicked her tail.
Worries clouded her head. What if it flooded? And if it flooded, what if something happened to someone? Especially Poppybloom? She silently scolded herself. Quit worrying, her mind hissed.
And despite the attempts to think of something better, she flicked her tail again. There went her happy day of her, Littlekit, and Sparrowkit's apprentice ceremonies.

The she-kit stirred, feeling Lilykit shift beside her. She noticed Sparrowkit was on her other side, leaning on Whitedeer and still fast asleep. Whitedeer herself was still out too, and from what Littlekit could see Poppybloom hadn't made any signs she was awake. Littlekit yawned widely and slowly sat up, giving her coat a little shake. As she breathed in the air she tasted rain. It wasn't that light outside, which meant it was either really early or still cloudy. Pricking up her ears, she detected that it was in fact raining. Still. "Ugh." she mumbled, glancing over to her sister and scooting forwards. She crawled out of the nest and stepped on the muddy ground with a groan of disgust. She stumbled forwards and peered out into camp, which was about empty--though she could see faces of awake cats peering out from under bushes. "It's a mess outside." Puddles everywhere, and the ground was a sheet of mud with clumps of grass stick up everywhere.

Lilykit scowled. "Oh," she mewed. "I'm sorry you probably won't get to see who your mentor is today." She sighed and gave her sister a sympathetic look.
Her ears flattened as water splashed her face. She jumped back, flicking her tail rapidly and kneading the wet ground with her little tiny paws. She hissed at the rain quietly. Dumb rain.
Lilykit gazed outside. The sky gray, the clouds gray, everything dark and wet, it made it seem like they lived under the ground. Except it didn't usually rain under the ground.

Littlekit glanced back towards her littermate with a sad sigh. "I guess not. It's okay though." she murmured. A silly part of her had hoped Tawnystar might go ahead and do the ceremony, but if she was realistic she doubted it'd happen. Maybe if it stopped raining. But not during the downpour. The kit stepped closer to Lilykit, brushing her pelt against her sister's. "I really hope it slows down with all this water...it'll wash us all away soon." she mumbled, only half joking. She wondered if the other Clans were getting rained on this bad. But at least they all had some better shelter. Poor WindClan was just out in the open.

She stretched out her paws, flexing her toes in the squishy mud. "Feels funny," she squeaked, unable to stop a giggle. She poked her head outside, but when raindrops splattered over her ears she quickly withdrew back in the den. "Hahah, all the warriors and apprentices have to huddle under bushes since they don't have proper dens." she snickered, her mood lightening.

Lilykit chuckled softly. "I guess so," she replied. She gazed out and through the rain she could see some of the warriors and apprentices huddling under bushes and shrubs.
She felt slightly bad for them. They had dens, but those dens weren't as well-protected or thick-walled as the nursery. Then again, one day that might be her, having to curl under bushes to make sure she didn't get soaked. She wouldn't like that, but it might happen. She'd never know. She stretched and poked at the mud with her paws. "What if it floods?" she wondered aloud. There she was, fretting again.
Lilykit, since she could walk and open her eyes, had been one to worry. She never wanted to climb trees with the other kits, worrying and fretting that someone would fall, slip, trip, get a cut or a scratch, or something worse. She'd never even watch as the other kits would clamber up the tree, she'd just hide in her bush and cover her eyes with her paws, turning away so she didn't have to risk seeing one of the kits fall.
Over the moons, Lilykit had stopped hiding in the shrub, and only did it occasionally, when she really needed alone time to think, and Sparrowkit had been at least smart enough to learn not to bother his sister while she was in her bush.
Lilykit was snapped from her thoughts when Sparrowkit strolled up. He had grown a lot over the moons, and was as big as Fogpaw and Shrewpaw now. "Aww, is it still raining?" he complained.

Littlekit lifted a paw and shook it, scattering little droplets of mud over the ground nearby. "Euck..." she muttered, but she was still smiling. She was supposed to be an apprentice today, yet here she was acting like a three-moon old kitten again. Part of her seriously wanted to go out and tumble in the rain and mud. However....Whitedeer'd chew her ears if she did that. So, she used her common sense and stayed inside. Although, the mud was creeping along the ground into the den, so she wondered how long they'd all stay clean.

Hearing her sister, the kit glanced over and twitched an ear. "It...it...we'll be fine, I think." she murmured softly, her happiness trickling away slightly as she thought about Lilykit's concern. She put her paw down and felt the mud seep between her toes again, and sighed softly. Before she could say anything more though, Sparrowkit had approached, his bulk dwarfing his two sisters. Littlekit glanced at him, her tail flicking out behind her. "Yup. Looks like we're stuck here." she commented, turning her dark blue gaze back outside to watch the rain again. She felt bad for anyone who had to go hunting or patrol in this mess.

Sparrowkit groaned. "Oh, nooo!" he complained.
"Quit complaining," Lilykit snorted.
Sparrowkit scowled. He hated rain as much as the next WindClan cat. And he certainly didn't like it if it ruined his apprentice ceremony. He grumbled inaudible words under his breath and lashed his tail. "If rain was a ShadowClan cat," he declared, "I'd shred it!"
He had always been the show-off, the one who boasted about his size and strength. And that praise and attention he got for his claims, was the very thing that fueled his contempt for his own sisters. He had seen them as weak and cowardly, small and useless. He had hardly paid any attention when Lilykit tried to tell him that she was to be apprenticed to be Bluestrike.
He hadn't listened when Littlekit had asked him, moons ago, who he thought would be her mentor. He was too busy for that, or so he thought.

Littlekit rolled her eyes at the tom-kit's whine. And he thinks we're babies, she thought, wrinkling her nose a little. The white she-kit glanced over at him again as he spoke belligerently, and huffed softly, deciding not to respond to that because he'd likely twist her words or something. She turned away, glancing over the soaked camp, and watched as a warrior--Gingersplash, she thought--darted from one bush to another nearby. With a sigh, Littlekit looked towards Lilykit and scrunched her claws in the muck that covered that had dribbled into the den. She peeked out towards the sky quickly, trying to see if there was anything other than gray clouds. To her surprise she spotted a sliver of blue sky further off. Perhaps it meant the rain would leave before the day as over, and they could have their ceremony.

[[Kay so. Since WindClan's up on the hills and in a mostly dry spot, they really won't be too affected by the lake flooding. However, RiverClan certainly would. To keep themselves fed they'd start theieving from WindClan lands because their own territory is so wet and their camp is almost completely flooded, so they had to sort of move back away from the lake temporarily. But the fish are dying cuz of all the water and movement, so they're starving. ThunderClan's not too bad, but their streams have overflowed and the lake shore has drawn closer to camp, scaring some of the prey away, but they're not too bad. Maybe some will start stealing from WindClan.
ShadowClan's not as bad as RiverClan but not as well of as ThunderClan.
Yay, chance of battles went up greatly. Of course, the flood's not full on yet as it's just the first day of rain, but it'll get there. c:< ]]
