"Well, you know, it's a little hard to defeat Ares without getting out of this room," she shrugged. "Dunno about you, but I'm going to do exactly that. Ready, Pheonix?" She inserted the key into the orb.

"Yeah," he replied, back up for a running start. She unlocked it with a twist of her wrist and tossed it the door as Pheonix collided with it. Her eyes widened and she blinked once as the door crumbled beneath his bulk and he flew into the hallway.

"You are a beast!" She laughed. He grinned as he crawled to his feet and dusted stone shards out of his hair.

"Penny, Ares knows that we are good enough to get out if here. He's not going to stick around."

Angel shrugged, "Bu we should look around for anything the least bit useful."

(okay,maybe they gather information and head back to camp, and percy and annabeth join them along the way, that could be an idea)

"I don't know about you, but I have plans of my own. Just bolting out of here seems a bit stupid, after we escape, Ares is not going to trust us sure he is dumb, but not that dumb. And as the leader of the quest, I think I lead..."Penelope said.

She got up and touched her tattoo. The room got transported into a dark and shallow room with a dark shadow. That had to be Kerebros.

"My Lord,"Ares said standing up.

Penelope half grinned, she did get his stubbornness after all as she watched him not kneeling.It didn't matter anyways, Kerebros sent almost half the room flying away and tearing things apart, making the power of the attack force him to his knees. She could see him gritting his teeth and reluctantly released the grasp from the belt. She motioned for everyone to duck as pieces of metal came crashing.

"What about the children?"Kerebros said, in the same loud grunt.

"They aren't here,"he said,lying.

Penelope knew why, he was of course using this to force better options from Kerebros, deny them, and take the lead of his own plans and the glory to himself.

"I need them. You know that,"Kerebros asked in a loud growl.

Ares nodded, but stood his ground. Penelope couldn't help but look in admiration. She shook her head of the little admiration story, her dad was a lying jerk, that was more like it. Penelope waited, as if anticipating for something, but no more information came out. Instead Kerebros just left.

"You can come out now,"Ares said, laughing.

Penelope,Jason,Pheonix,and Angel slowly walked towards him.

"What do you want to do,"Penelope asked,crossing her arms. "You were supposed to be a god, one of the Olympians, why the hell are you doing this and bartering with that idiot!"

"I'm bartering for time Penny."

"No for fame and destruction,"Penelope answered back focusing her eyes towards the object he was clutching tight in his palms.

"Listen I need-"he asked before he came with surprise.

Penelope's instincts kicked in and he charged him, pressing him with the flat of her sword as she grabbed the object. Ares had lightning quick speed, but Penelope touched her tattoo and they were gone, back into the cliff where they started.

"Okay, this was a sign of Ares...not Kerebros, that makes a lot of sense, but it doesn't. The sign changed now,"she said as she opened her palms to release the object.

It was a small cylinder object with red colored glass coating. Maybe it was a secret coating. Penelope shrugged but slid it in her pocket.

"We better get this to Chiron,"Penelope said.

"Jason, can you contact camp and then give the call to me. We could use Percy's awesomeness--sheesh Pheonix--and Annabeth's battle strategy. They should be awake by now. The gods are at the camp offering protection and they should have healed. We have to contact Iris, but I'm all out of drachmas,"she said as she eagerly asked Jason.

[Aw, do we have to. Percy and Annabeth are already heroes. How about ours prove their own heroics.]

Angel handed Penelope the drachmas she'd confiscate from Jason at the hotels when she'd paid. "Here," she sighed and glanced around, he signature, concentrated expression on, making Pheonix grin like a little boy. He glowere at Jason as he slapped his arm.

"Hey," Jason whispered, out of earshot of the girls. "Mine."

"You blew it," Pheonix countered dryly.

"She called you a beast."

Pheonix smugly puffed out his already massive chest. "Yeah. I know." That was a major compliment to children of Ares. "Anyway," he said more loudly. "My awesomness should be enough." Underneath it all he was a little hurt by Penelope's underhanded slam. Angel rolled her eyes.

"It wasn't personal, eesh, Pheonix."

"Not you too," he laughed. She tipped one shoulder in a shrug then turned to Penelope.

"With the two just recovering, and I doubt where Kerebros is heading is humid, I don't think it'd be a good job for Pecu to leave the safety of the camp. If we fail then they'll be fine. If they're here...things would get bad. Fast."

Penelope looked up at Angel,"They were recovering two weeks ago...they must be fine by now."

She took the drachmas and took a small hose from a nearby house.

"Sorry, we are about to save the worls, so hope you don't mind,"Penelope whispered.

The drachma glowered and a rainbow formed.

"For you, Iris,"Penelope bowed and flipped the coin into the rainbow.

she knew how stupid she sounded but Chiron and the camp came hovering over the sky, as a thin screen.

"Hey Penelope!"Chiron shouted in his horse form.

"Chiron,how is the camp?"she asked.

"The gods are over here protecting the layer, we just got a few attacks,"he said.

"How is Percy and Annabeth?"

"Their fine, sort of. They are helping the gods,"he said.

"Okay wait the times up. Chiro-"she said but the connection got cut.

"Dammit,"she said.

She held the small rose like cylinder. She tossed it up in the air and decided to play with it. She uncovered the lid and a huge sword came out, about 15 feet or so, but it shrunk into Penelope's side.

"What the-"

"Awesome..."she said, grinning.

Angel jumped back in surprise and Jason gave the weapon a wary look, but a wide grin spread across Pheonix's face. "Dude, that is bomb, Penny." Suddenly his own copper toned short Greek sword seemed a little shabby. He shook away male jealousy and rolled his shoulders.

"Well...what now?" Angel puffed her cheeks out. "'Cuz I would love to take a shower, get a haircut, do my nails, start my life, then save the world." She grinned. "I'll settle for only the shower and a real mattress one night." She sighed and clicked the heel of her booties against the ground.

"Either way we have to walk back to the city," Jason sighed.

"I'm too tired!" Angel laughed and hugged Pheonix. "Carry me and Penelope. Hey, I'm kidding," she punched his arm playfully. "Should we poke around more or...?"

Penelope looked at her sword,"Wow, it's like my own weapon. I am not going to give this back,"she grinned as she felt the power exploding inside the sword.

"I say...enjoy while we can, Las Vegas isn't far from here. Using like those cool god expresses,"she said joking around, but she kind of meant it.

"Wow, rub it in," Pheonix teased.

Angel grinned widely. "LAS VEGAS!!! Whoo!!!" She bounced around for a minute before giving Jaeon and Pheonix looks. "Be excited with me."

"Yay," Pheonix cheered weakly. She stopped and placed her hands on her hips.

"Be that way then," she tossed her hair, "anyway, please, Penny-er, Penelope!!! Pwease! They have an Eiffel Tower!!!"

Penelope raised her eyebrows,"I'm pretty sure the god expresses or whatever they want to call it- have an Eiffel Tower,"Penelope said with a confused laugh. "Just saying."

They all looked at each other for a moment. How in the heck were they going to get there, the god expresses were a joke, then it popped into Penelope's head. She grinned slyly pushing her hair forward. Pheonix slowly stepped away, these were the plans that got most of them killed.

"So Jason, who's car are you going to steal?"Penelope asked, chuckling slightly.

Jason, with the innocent face of an angel looked at her wide-eyes, as if he never even heard of such a thing. His father after all, was the god of thieves. He stood there, stiffened and shook his head.

"Then I'll be riiighhhhtttt back,"Penelope replied, half disappointed, but eager as another idea popped into her head.

She came out with a brand new red car, it must have been brand new because the scent 'flew' towards them. They grinned at once.

"I wanna drive!"Penelope said shifting off her feet a little.

Then she recognized that disagreeing face of Pheonix. Her age, of course was 14. Penelope's bright expression slowly faded. She wanted to drive oh so badly!

"I managed...to drive a frickin motorcycle. Comon, just a stupid drive to Las Vegas. Geez,"Penelope said.

She stubbornly went to the driver's seat and didn't hesitate to turn the keys and bump her fists into the air as she 'whood' and started the engine. She didn't give time for Pheonix to stop the car as it already left on full speed.

Angel clutched the door of the shotgun seat, which she'd snagged, a wide grin on her face. "I GET TO DRIVE NEXT!!!" She hollered over the engine. Behind her, she could practically hear Pheonix and Jason rolling their eyes.

"No!" Pheonix called from the backseat. "A fourteen year old hellion is bad enough, but a thirteen year old stranger? No friggin' way!"

Angel pouted back at him. "I'm not a stranger, I'm intensely offended. Besides, I turned fourteen trapped in that room. Just saying." He glared at her for a moment, before lurching forward and clinging to her seat.

"Not so fast, Penny!!!"

"Oh stop being such a toddler, you're no fun. Just leave it to the girls to brighten up this dull car,"Penelope said.

She turned the speed up and crossed over two red lights. She didn't see any cops following her. She pulled over her black sunglasses whooing where she saw lights. Jason grinned whooing along with her.

"See, a son practically of a messenger god can handle a little speed,"she said.

Jason stood a head taller with his spine standing a little taller as if the 'compliment' made him a little more valued in the car. Penelope flung out her hair and lowered her window, where besides her stood another black car with two guys. They were about 5 years older than her with muscular arms and wore a loose shirt, as if they were typical Californians. They lowered their windows as well, leaving a little flirt towards Penelope. Jason rolled his eyes, he clearly didn't like them, and neither did Pheonix. They turned a quick right until Penelope stopped at a casino.

"Remember, always go for the eights!"she said as she went her way in.

"Ok, clearly your waayyy too young,"a bold police officer said.

He went on scanning through the crowd realizing nobody was even near the age of 18.

"And clearly your waayyy too old. Now it wouldn't be that bad if you just let in a couple of girls and guys now would it?"Penelope said, covering her first phrase with another flirty remark.

The police officer politely let them into the clubbish casino. Angel smiled and gaped at the architecture of the dome built Casino. Penelope headed for some coke until she drained the last cup. She pulled Jason aside.

"Come on...dance with me!"Penelope said as she reached for his arms and started dancing.

He sheepishly smiled. He was shy...and so cute at the same time. He began dancing slowly as Penelope changed the C.D to something more upbeat.
