Annabeth couldn't help but chuckle as she noticed Thor play with Jipeni. He wasn't showing it often, but he was fun loving just like her and the other pups. She was also glad that Kipekee was getting along well with Tulivu and Jipeni, maybe at some point she would feel secure enough even without Annabeth being nearby. Smiling to herself, she continued to sit and watch as Thor played with the pups.

Jipeni beamed and got off Thor, he strutted back to the girls, "Didya see that? Didya?". Kipekee was in awe, "Uh huh". Meanwhile, Kion was also observing from a high rock, he smiled, his pack was doing well. He got up and made his way down, he looked over to Annabeth, "Annabeth? You're on boder patrol today", Kipekee looked up, she didn't want to be left here without Annabeth, "Can I go as well sir?". Kion nodded and sat down, he talked to his mate for a while before going over to Thor, "Any news?".

Muuaji had just arrived back when he heard that Annabeth was going on border patrol today, and like he expected, Kipekee was going to go with her. He turned back around and headed off quickly to tell his gang the latest updates, but they had a story for him. "Annabeth, the white female wolf in that pack, do ya know her? We killed her parents about 2 years ago...". Muuaji smirked slyly and headed off to find a hiding spot along the way the two unsuspecting wolves were coming.

Annabeth got up and waited for Kipekee to catch up before beginning to walk alongside her. "I should warn you already that border patrols are boring." she said with a chuckle. She had really grown to like the pup. "Probably the most boring thing one gets to do here."

Kipekee giggled, "Well, nothing is boring when I'm with you". She went behind Annabeth, just do do a little exploring on her own, sniffing a few plants and rocks here and there.

Muuaji had settled down in some thick undergrowth and the wind was in his favour so he could smell Annabeth and Kipekee coming towards him, but they couldn't smell him.

Annabeth couldn't help but smile. She slowed down a little so that Kipekee could do her own exploring without falling behind too much, not wanting to scare the pup by suddenly disappearing.

Thor looked at Kion. "Nothing of interest," he said.

As Muuaji watched them go past his hiding place, he ruffled the grass a little, so that only Kipekee could hear. Kipekee turned around, wondering what the noise was, she slowly came closer to the undergrowth. Out of Annabeth's sight, Muuaji lunged forward and grabbed the pup in his mouth, forgetting to be gentle he pierced her fur with his teeth. Kipekee screamed out in pain, as Muuaji turned to run with the pup, taking her somewhere that Annabeth would have to follow.

Annabeth was suddenly on alert as she head Kipekee's scream. Normally she would think Kipekee was just scared of something, but unlike the other times she screamed this time her scream was a scream of pain. Running in the direction of the sound, she didn't get there in time to see who attacked the pup, but she could hear the noise Muuaji was making as he ran off. She followed the sound without thinking twice.

Muuaji ran into a large, dark cave and went to the back of it. He put the pup down on her back and placed a paw on her chest so she couldn't get up. Kipekee struggled and squirmed as she started to cry, "Let me go Aji! What are you doing?". Muuaji laughed, "My full name is Muuaji ...for murderer, or don't you remember".

Kipekee eye's widened as the older wolf continued, "Come out come out little one...or do you want to end up like your mummy and daddy"...Kipekee instantly reconized the voice from her nightmares and kept trying to get out. Muuaji smirked, "You will learn to respect me, to obey me, and you will tell no one of this, for I will be taking you back to my gang very soon, we have certain...needs for you".
