Membo had a confused look for a moment, but he then looked at his daughter and grandson who were kind of staring at him but said nothing to them. Nello's mate looked at her son, "What?"

Suddenly the mother's father was there but there was no smug look on his face but instead he looked kinda depressed. "I apologize for everything I did and all and being a jerk. I should have welcomed you and the boy. I heard what happened with that mean deer and I didn't want to lose you or the boy."

The doe was so surprised that her jaw nearly dropped, but after that she looked a little confused, "What mean deer?"

Her father said, "Uh Karu or whatever his name is...I just heard about him."

The doe was still slightly confused, "So wait, now what?"

Her father sighed, "I just want your forgiveness for all I've done."

The doe couldn't believe that her father was actually apologizing, and it looked like he meant it too.

Her father then said, "And I am sorry about Nello's son as well and keeping him from you. I just thought I was protecting you, you know?"

That wasn't the first time she heard her father say this, but for the first time she didn't become upset when he did. "How come?" she asked, curious.

Her father said, "Well obviously because you know...what happened anyway...giving birth to your son."
