Membo's eyes went wide. He would have ran faster if his age allowed it.

Where the fire was the doe was there screaming as her fur was on fire.

Membo noticed the doe but didn't really know how to put it out. "Uh..." after a few moments of thinking he placed her on her back and, after about a minute of searching for water, dropped her into a waterhole. "Are you alright?" he didn't seem to be recognizing her.

The doe immediately gasped for air and noticed Membo had saved her. "Uh thank you I guess." She paused because she couldn't bring herself to apologize for all that she had said to him.

Membo however didn't recognize her. Does didn't look too much different from one another and ever since Gurri was born he hardly thought of her, much less than he used to before his daughter was born. Also her treatment of him before that happened made him try not to think of her at all.

The doe then said, "I have to get back to my son..."

Membo was quiet for a moment, "Uh... okay..." she didn't seem to notice that he didn't know who she was. He walked away with a shrug.

However she followed him and said, "You know your son-in-law..."

Membo stopped, thinking to himself for a moment. He looked at her and suddenly remembered who she was. "Oh!" he exclaimed, now remembering, "Um... this is... awkward..."

The doe sighed, "Let's go..." Karus' son suddenly appeared, "I can only stay for a few moments my little Membo but I wish to inform you that your daughter and your grandson are in danger..."
