Garo then looked at him with a more serious expression, "I'm not like that."

Bambi tried to remember whether he saw this stag when he and Faline were still fawns, but he couldn't figure out who he was. And like she said, it didn't really matter.

Gurri jumped in. "Listen I don't know who you think you are..." The old buck smiled. "I am your grandfather."

Faline said to Bambi, "Ronno is here with us? And he is talking to you? What did I miss around here?"

Geno heard this and turned away from Marena and looked at the stag who just turned out to be his grandfather. If he was Bambi's father? Why did he talk the way he did? He was telling him about Bambi and his father (which was him, apperantly) as if he was someone else.

Bambi smiled at Faline, "We've put it all behind us." he said before taking a quick glance at Ronno, "For the sake of our children."

Gurri had to go to her father. She ran up to him. "Great Prince that old stag said he is your father?! Is this true?!"

The old stag looked at Geno and said, "Now you must continue the legacy the Great Prince lays down. When your father steps down or passes away you must become what he and I were and are. You must be brave, strong, and smart to be given the true honor of the Great Prince. Remember you are a prince!"

Bambi was as shocked as Gurri was, he glanced at Faline who seemed as surprised as he was and then back at his father. "I thought he died." he said, barely loud enough for anyone to hear before he began slowly walking towards his father.

Geno was still confused. "Why didn't you tell us who you were? And why were you talking about Bambi's father as if you were someone else?"

The old buck paused and said, "Please I am only trying to help all of you. I had to find out if you would figure out who I was."

Faline looked at Bambi. "But I thought you haven't seen him since Geno and Gurri were born." She was just as confused as everyone else. "Is he here to teach you something Bambi?"

"How could I? I never met you before." Geno said

Bambi looked back at Faline, "I haven't." he said and sighed as she asked about him teaching Bambi something, "I don't know."

The old stag sighed and said, "Well you know now who I am."

Ronno heard their conversation and butted in. "Bambi if this is your father perhaps it would be uh...better if I did not go with you but stayed here."

"Where were you all this time?" he said and looked at his grandfather, "Dad thought you died."

Bambi looked at Ronno, "I wasn't expecting you to go with me."

The old buck sighed and said, "A Prince shall not raise a child. But know that I was always watching you from afar."

Ronno snorted and said, "Oh I see what you mean 'Great Prince'"
