Kodi didn't know what to do, "It's not! I..." he doubted he could take on Steele. For a dog, Steele was pretty big. Aleu smiled, "Thanks." she then asked, "Would you mind if we took a short break? I want to see my mother..."

Kirby just said, "What is it then?! I am going to tell Dusty about this if I ever make it out alive!" Steele laughed, "Alright I'll give you one more chance Kodi. Tell me where she is." Annabeth smiled, "No but it would be better if you go by yourself. I'll go back to the boat and you can meet me there."

Kodi hesitated but then spoke, "She's hiding out of the city..." Aleu nodded and left. She headed into the village knowing that she wouldn't have to worry alot about her looks since she looked alot like Balto.

Steele then tortured Kirby and made his screams heard in the town. "Tell me more at once!" He laughed and said, "Tell me exactly where and I'll not torture him again."

A human who was a mailroom worker heard the screaming and entered the room. When he saw what Steele was doing his mouth opened in shock, "Hey, what are you doing?!" he got hold of Steele by the back of his neck and threw him out of the mailroom, before kicking him from the porch and straight into the snow, "Get out of here you vandal!" Aleu meanwhile tried to recall where exactly was her mother's house according to what Kodi had shown her yesterday. She began walking, hoping that she was taking the right direction.

Steele growled. "Stupid human." Kirby turned his back to Kodi and said nothing. "Don't speak to me anymore. Don't even look at me."

Kodi could not believe that his friend was making such a big deal out of it, "Kirby, you can't be serious! This isn't my fault." Aleu at some point came across the house and recognised it. She wondered whether Rosie or her familly would even recognise her.

Kirby said, "Why did you lie to me? Why do you love that wolf more than Dusty?"

Kodi sighed, "I just do, it's hard to explain..." he went ahead and told his friend about the reason Annabeth came to town in the first place and how she eventually changed sides and warned him. "I don't know what to do Kirby..." Aleu tried to find a way to somehow get the attention of whoever was inside the house or to find a way inside.

Kirby said, "I'll tell you what you do. First you apologize to Dusty and I. Then, you make sure we will not get harmed over this." He sighed, "And finally I guess you should stay with her. Is she really as pretty as you desribed her?"
