Aleu looked confused, "You lost someone?" she then remembered, "Oh, right, your mother. Sorry."

Annabeth said, "No. Not my mother. Someone else. Someone I cared about in a non-familial sense."

Aleu nodded, "Oh. Well I wont bother you with questions about him..." she then thought to herself, "Hey, you and Kodi..." she was just being curious, "Do you really love eachother? As in... really?" Annabeth probably understood what she meant.

Annabeth sighed and said, "Yes I love him. I...when he," she smiled, "when he put his head around mine he was so cute." She shook her head, "As for the other one he is back at my pride. Hopefully my father will not know he helped me or he will be killed."

Aleu's mind suddenly drifted to her former future-mate. She remembered the exact same scene that Annabeth has just described; the way she felt safe when his head was on top of hers or when he was holding her in his arms... To her it seemed like she was destinied into living the rest of her life single and lonely, and that made her sad. She forced the negative thoughts aside, "Yeah, hopefully..."

Aleu said, "So what do you know about your brother? What does he like?"

Aleu thought about it for a moment, "Well, let's see... When it comes to his job he wants to get it done right and on time..." she had a hard time remembering after not seeing him for quite a while. "And he... From what I've seen, he likes you."

Annabeth just nodded. "I told him to pick this friend but he picked me. It will be dufficult for him, I mean seeing me since humans, dogs, and wolves will hate us." She shook her head, "Well uh have you ever had a girl's night out?"
